  2. I'm a firm believer in leaving the ball and going home, rather than smashing it against someone's face so they can't play. Say your peace. Can always get the ball back later. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  4. You must be such a wonderful person to be around. He is! Plus he's funny as hell. Well, I'm not sure if hell is funny but bealio's humor is good. I'm all of the things he despises, tunnel flyer, freeflyer, I've flown plenty of wingsuits though no one actually instructed me so I'm probably a statistic wearing one. 5. You're nicer than me Marcel :) I don't particularly like them but since we have em in the Wings student rigs, we get to keep using them for now. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  7. I'm sure they would have shown up too but you know what... plan another one and kill it. They beat it by 3 and it would have been 4 or 5 if Simon wouldn't have thrown an intentional fuck you mid skydive. I don't actually know Simon, but I sure wish he'd had better sense than to do that. I was supposed to be at this event as were other friends of mine so it would have been even bigger had I been able to. Oh well, That's how it goes. I'm missing the Cali record too. Did Simon say anything prior or did he just choose to fly like that instead? I will admit this. I do feel bad for him. His lapse of reason has probably banned him from participation in many events for a long time, and some events for life. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  11. 2 things. 1) Read the forums because likely someone saw this days ago. 2) Use the url buttons before and after your link and make a link clickable. 12. Try jumping a highly loaded crossbraced wing and see how good and stable is your body position. Ok mr 500 jump wonder jumping a Crossfire (according to your profile) Have you seen what people fly for CRW lately? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  13. I believe that in his mind, it was his duty to keep it all texans. Not a mix of texans, cali pricks, and whoever other non-texans were on it. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  15. Flying mixed creates different flight requirements also. The head down flyer and head up flyer must fly in a manner so as not to be disturbed by the burble of the head up guy. When doing mixed dives, that is taken into consideration. Mr Toast, It's a lot more challenging to fly head up than head down especially at high speeds with precision. Next time you're in the tunnel, top it out and see how stable you feel just by yourself. It will give you an idea how sketchy it is when flying with others. Most people that take head up grips, take them head down and transition. It's quite the art to fly head up and take grips smoothly. 16. Maybe so but Katie is the first woman to have performed that landing :) She's been working pretty hard and is becoming a rather skilled skydiver and parachute pilot. I believe Luigi Cani was the next person with JC driving in 2008, 2009??? (This is an edit. I found the video. It was uploaded in December of 2007. I don't know the original air date) Other famous swooper dudes were landing in cars during the VOSS gig when Katie did her landing. Being the First woman to perform the feat is pretty bad ass... on a Petra no less. Nice Work Katie! My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  17. It causes almost physical pain to admit this, but the job I left when I was 20 to go back to school and get my degree to please my family paid more than I've made at any job since Drug dealer? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

  19. It was the hill. It is dependent on the hill and wind. I've had 100% success rate also on any hill I've chose to fly. I won't disagree that the other wing is better but I've yet to have an issue with mine. Edit: My training was kite it, turn around go. Not the best training but that's what was available at the time :) worked out great. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  20. Great advice, once you have flown a real speedwing you'll never go back. A close friend of mine died as a result of speedflying a skydiving canopy. You may get 2:1 glide on your Stiletto but I get 5:1 on my Bobcat. This is just a post asking for clarification and why. I'm not arguing, I'm stating what has occured. Not once will I argue that a speedwing is not superior so don't take any of my posts in such a manner. Back to the question. What canopy? What conditions? Just curious. I've had friends die on speedwings and severly injured on speed wings. It was not due to the conditions or terrain, it was the whole flying into the terrain thing that did them in. The only injuries I know about around here while flying skydiving canopies were from literally flying them into the ground. Swooping in to a pile of rocks was one. Not understanding how to swoop and just going for it was another. Before that moment, he'd flown the same hill over and over and over. One day he just hooked himself into the dirt trying to swoop without any swooping background. The Most recent speedwing death, I don't know what happened but I believe it to be launching in unsuitable conditions. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  21. Who's dieing on Stilettos? I mean, Who died on a Stiletto Ground Launching? I don't know where to see these reports so show me cuz I'm curious. That's sincere. I have yet to learn about these deaths. Saying shit about a Nova is stupid so I'll ignore that but seriously, I'd like to know about the Stiletto problems. 22. Maybe so but the not always pretty video shows he never even pulled on them and it opened. If you must put rear riser input to open the canopy, that's a weird ass canopy, just asking to twist up... by design! That reminds me of the NZ Aerosports test jump videos when the canopy would just snivel for thousands of feet till they figured it out. Tipping

That's a misnomer, bro. I've never done a ten tandem day where I got tipped ten times; particularly not $20 a pop.... Like others on here, I've been tipped as high as $100 (in Hawaii), but what seems most common is $20. I NEVER expect a tip, no matter how awesome I thought it was or how much I had to work to safely get that 250 pound galloot to the ground in one piece. People pay a lot of money to do tandems. Some people save up for a very-long time to be able to afford it. Ultimately, we could all use a little extra beer money for a job well done. Chuck I was 100% serious!!! .... Just in case you believe that.... Not really. I seldom get tipped for AFF but that's probably because I'm really, really, bad at it. I HAVE literally seen 10 out of 10 Tandem a few times. I don't keep track or look but when the TI mentions it in ear shot, you noticed and say Nice job man! My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto
  25. Well, at least they didn't know it was going to happen. If it was planned, and people stood still, he'd have probably hit someone just like that short stop who got clobbered by the PLANNED demo.
