  1. He fought the officers, then fought through a Taser deployment, then went for a gun in his pocket. If you do that, you do so at your own peril, regardless of race. They responded initially to the report of a man with a gun. This is a non-starter, just like Charlotte, but please, keep rehashing, it makes the facts change in the way you want them to. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  2. This is much adieu about nothing. All the body cameras I've worked with and observed are activated before an interaction, or when an interaction has begun. 100% recording isn't practical, can cause unintended consequences, and can be tactically unsound. The mere fact the ACLU made an issue of this shows their duplicitous nature regarding police interactions. A public space is a public space, they can't pick and choose which ones or type where officers record interactions. Most cameras are running, but not recording when powered on. The ones shown in the video record 30 seconds prior to activation, without sound when activated. I can guarantee you if I was interacting with the "inauguration protestor" crowd in anyway, I'd be recording. Just standing around, I would not. I'm not worried about me, I would be very worried dealing with professional protestors. There are many provocateurs in the perpetual grievance crowd, anytime I'd interact with them, I'd record for my own protection. I can say with relative certainty, because of the publicity of this, there will be that guy who runs up and asks if the officers camera is on. Then will attempt to incite depending on the answer. There have been many times when I deal with an actual knucklehead you can't talk sense into, sees the camera and knows he can't get away with anything. Especially a frivolous complaint. 3. http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Groups-Concerned-About-Use-of-Police-Body-Cameras-During-Inauguration_Washington-DC-410581715.html The ACLU says body cams are to be turned off, unless the officer is taking "action". "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  4. Yea, what he said........... If I want fake news, I'll watch RT, or lately several major "news" outlets. This whole mess is simply amplified democratic talking points. Putin is sitting back and laughing, watching us bicker, what he fails to understand is we do it normally. He just got to push a couple buttons. This didn't effect the outcome of the election, Hillary being a seriously flawed candidate did the most damage. The DNC admitted this. Had they run a decent candidate, perhaps a Jim Webb type or even possibly Joe Biden, they could have beat Trump easily. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  5. Everyone acts like this is something new, they do it, we do it, others do it. The Chinese hacked into the military SIPR net using thumb drives manufactured in...............China. They saw a weakness and exploited it, we do the same thing. The Russians are doing the same, so are we. Cyber war is the new front, and it ain't going away anytime soon. This was brought to the forefront by the democratic party, to distract from the ass-whipping they took nationwide. The funny thing is, the information passed in the "hacks" was all true, the dems don't deny that. This baggage was more serious than Trumps missteps, and the country said so. And? So if a Dodge Hellcat, Ford Mustang 5.0, etc. owners have high speed accidents. Same thing? The guy handled a firearm improperly and paid the price. Many whuffos would same the same about you, if you had a wrap and burned in. What about some idiot swooper who takes someone out under canopy? Should we ban fast canopies, or just heavily regulate them? "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  7. For the older addicts I agree to an extent. However the younger ones have a myriad of ways they get addicted. Many times it's the "crazy friend" that gets them to try it during a night of partying, next thing you know they start getting dope sick and the cycle starts. I had a 59 year old woman hit another car head-on on a 4 lane highway. It was her 2nd OD in 6 months, she started at the pill mills. Our state has cracked down on docs and pill mills, so heroin becomes the substitute. It's a sad cycle, but many of these people are not "victims" of any thing but there own excesses. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  8. In the area where I work, we call 8-11am the heroin rush hour. People wake up dope sick, go into the city to buy dope, then can't wait to use. They shoot up or snort in the car while driving on the highways leading out of downtown. If we get a single vehicle accident during those times, it's about an 85% chance it's an overdose while driving. Many times heroin is cut with fentanyl, or even worse carfentanyl, the people are unconscious or near unconscious when we arrive. Sometimes this can happen several times a week, I've been on several double OD's, and some with kids in the car. The other OD's are constant, when bad batches are going around, we can get several a shift in our area. It's the craziest drug related problem we've had in my 30years. Crack was bad in the 90's, but this is much worse. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  9. Wow, We finally had the same thought, I feel so cheap............ "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  10. Damn, I was going to post that one, beat me to it. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  11. This sums up the entire article. This comment is also relevant. I'd say that doesn't come from a Trump supporter. If anything, this whole fiasco highlights the need for enhanced cyber-security, across the board. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  12. Again, I've never said there shouldn't be an investigation. But don't confuse an incident, with the political implementation of an incident. This is looking more and more like the end of a Scooby Doo episode. The cops take off the mask of the bad guy, and it's actually Hillary Clinton. "I would have been President, if it wasn't for you meddling Russkies"............ "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  13. In the real world, when someone answers a question so directly, fully knowing the implications of a wrong, incorrect or untruthful answer. It generally means the person is not being deceptive. That is the nuance of reading people. I make a living reading people, often people being defensive and deceptive. I don't get that from the RNC on this issue, and it really surprised me. Usually politicians hedge their answers, in this case they certainly aren't sure of a potential outcome. That would lead me to believe there really is nothing to this. I certainly don't believe the NYT and "unnamed sources". In recent history of proven journalistic bias, that is not an unreasonable position. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  14. Are you and Kallend conspiring on answers? You're answers are normally well thought out, now you are just regurgitating talking points. I expected more nuance. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  15. Exactly correct. My point is, there has been very little if any ambiguity in the RNC response. I'd feel safe in assuming the RNC has many more "sources" in the CIA than the NYT. ANY Clinton response was deflection, deceit, and nothing but spin. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  16. I wasn't speaking to the Trump administration as a whole, simply the response to the supposed RNC hack. Compare the RNC answer to the legal, political, double speak given by the Hillary Clinton camp in many of her issues over the years. The differences are stark. Nice rant though. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  17. What I'm saying is, they are not answering in political double speak. That in itself speaks volumes. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  18. Assage, WikiLeaks, they've influenced the election. No wait, let's have a recount, those crafty Russian bastards hacked the voting machines. Ok, maybe they didn't hack the voting machines, but those pesky Russians hacked the RNC and DNC. So crafty they picked sides against Hillary, although according to many media outlets, Trump tried to grab her by the pussy in retaliation...... For the side whining about Trump accepting the results of the election, this stuff is laughable. Mainly because they got their ass kicked and still can't figure out how the coronation failed. And the left wonders how they keep losing more ground. The RNC chairman openly stated there was no hack, he would not say that without knowing the truth. The political class is nervous, including Lindsay Graham and John McCain, and for good reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nQ7L3_lYC8 There's not much ambiguity in the RNC response to this. Compare that to what the definition of "is" is....... "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  19. If they want to do that, I'm good with it. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  20. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IRCdjeTtII "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  21. I'm not claiming it, there was admitted bias, that is a fact. Your moral relativism claim is simply not true, whether you like it or not is not relevant to the facts presented. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  22. I see, because you and people like you have the ultimate say on decency and moral obligation. Everyone else just isn't as enlightened and inclusive as you are. OK, I get it. (And you wonder how guys like Trump get elected) "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  23. My comments weren't pro or anti Trump. I was simply saying there was real, measurable media bias in supposedly objective media outlets, many of them. False narratives are almost the norm now, my vocation has been the brunt of many of them. They are a major factor in why Trump was elected IMHO. My original reply was simply a factual observation, it has been countered by the usual emotional knee-jerk reactions. Quite sad really. "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  24. Best you can do? For such an edumacated guy, weak as usual. I know anything from Fox News makes your head explode, but it's here, from a NYT editor, the admission of bias. The messenger doesn't change the evidence admitted to, it's all there in living color. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1_hjnkeoXg "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
  25. This is the same New York Times that was openly hostile to Trump during and after the election, was in the tank for the democratic nominee, and is desperate to make up for lost market share. A senior editor actually admitted to bias, the NYT has lost a great deal of credibility. Why not continue to promote this narrative for the above reasons? "Just 'cause I'm simple, don't mean I'm stewpid!"
