I wear a tony C wing jacket with freefly pants for everything except 4 way, where I wear a parasport Italia suit with booties. I like the booties for 4 way but prefer the versatility of the jacket for everything else http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

Canon 15mm (on a Rebel XT / 350D) The Raynox 0.3 isn't very wide at all - not even as wide as my old sony 0.45 http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk -
What Wide Angle Lense for Sony HC7?

I use Boneheads HC3 box for my HC5 + Raynox 0.3 - fits great. Not sure if there is any difference in size between the HC5 and HC7 http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk -
Many thanks for the response Douglas. We ended up taking out 25(!) screws to get to it, then used a hyperdermic with a bend in it to push it out from the inside! http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

Does anybody have any suggestions for getting the tip of a cameye plug out of a lanc socket? Somebody unplugged a cameye from my HC5 and it left the the very end of the plug in there http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

I'm using a Raynox 0.3 HD lens (have only done 2 jumps so far) http://www.raynox.co.jp/english/video/hd3032pro/index.htm However its the narrowest 0.3 i have seen! Its not as wide as my old Sony 0.45! http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

Hi Gustavo, I've recently got a HC5, i've only managed to do 2 jumps with it so far (English weather) but it looks fine at the moment. (Both jumps filming 4 way - top shot) I haven't been freeflying with it yet though. gary http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

Secondary lower performance canopy?
garywainwright replied to PhreeZone's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
I use a Pilot if i'm wearing multiple cameras or filming bigways - particulalry if i'm going to be below at breakoff. This is both for the openings and the slow flight characteristics. Seems lots of people like the Pilot in their 2nd rig! http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk -
Is the HC7 worth the extra money over the HC5? http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

Shoot with it on aperture priority rather than manual. Set it to about F8 and underexpose by perhaps 1 F stop. I like mine - its a cheap backup to my regular lens. http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

More Brit Interest!! I bet you didn't know that Katie Woods from Langar and Bedford wind tunnel is actually from Belgium? Well she must be as she is jumping with SPA Hayabusa this season (as long as she can pass the entrance exam to the belgium military) http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

"The other big advantage of the full frame is for any given focal lenght and f stop you'll get more depth of field (1.6 more than the other DSLRs). This means you can use manual focus lot easier. -Laszlo-" I'm getting a bit confused here I thought that a canon 15 has a bigger DoF than say a canon 24 at the same F stop. Therefore my XT with a 15 mm lens has a a bigger DoF than a 5D with a 24mm lens. So in effect you would have to fly a similar distance for both set ups (because of the 1.6 crop factor on the XT) but the XT with 15mm set up would give a larger DoF at the same F stop. I also like the gentle curvature you get with a cropped sensor - it means that your horizons don't have to be perfectly level when the horizon is in the shot! This is proberly just me misunderstanding basic photography!! PS Laszlo - love your work mate, particularly the sunset type shots with flash. http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

A bit late now but i've updated my website with a video i shot at the 2nd world cup of canopy piloting. The commentary you here is from an Ozzie called Dingo who borrowed my camera to film some landings and caught Shannon wiping out. At one point Dingo watches a really long swoop and comments 'love your work son - whoever you were!' - it was Jonathon Tagle... Hope you like it
