  1. Sorry Rich - i don't understand "i'll pm you" Lisa says hi!! http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  2. Have you seen where the horizon is at the point where the twists stop going in? I've already gone past the 4 way I was videoing and to quote them i was still going like 'shit off a shovel' I estimate that I've got 4 - 5 more complete revolutions until impact. What would you do? http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  3. I was kicking as hard as I could! I'm losing a lot of height - the group broke off at 4000, my reserve is open at 1500 http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  4. I take your point about body position and symmetry. However before I had this canopy I did 1400 jumps on my stiletto and never chopped and very rarely had line twists. Anyway its now academic as I've chopped it again today and our chief instructor has banned it from being used again at our airfield! What do you think my chances ar of getting my cash back from Precision!? (I'm now screwed with no canopy!) http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  5. Thanks for that. Interesting that I never used to watch my stiletto and very rarely had twists - now I watch my xaos and get them a lot - maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me!! http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  6. I tried psycho packing it but gave up after 2 cutaways in 20 jumps! It does fly straight with the brakes on. I wish you guys could see the video! I've tried to upload it onto this site but it doesn't work. If anybody wants to see it email me at [email protected] its a 1.8meg mpg http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk

  11. I don't think the video worked (1.8meg mpg) I've just measured my pc and its 24" - its also time for me to get a new one - any more opinions on what size? http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  12. Thanks everyone! Any more tips? I've attempted to attached my video of it to this reply - beware - I haven't done this before so apologies if it doesn't work after you download it!! PS I love it when it opens but at the moment my reserve repacks are eating into the 50% i saved on the price! http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  13. Also I don't think its the bag turning as it initially opens on heading - then veers one way - then the twists develop the other way! http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  14. Its a 2 grommett bag. My first 2 cutaways were in the 1st 20 jumps(!) using regular bungees. I then switched to tube stoes and haven't had to cutaway until 2 weeks ago. I put about 2" thro the stoe and leave about 18" after the last stoe http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  15. Thora Hurd for services to stairlifts and her many appearances on BBC's '3 old men in a bath going down a hill' http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  16. I totally agree with the last guy - buy sony! Try and get mini dv if your budget stretches that far. I personlly like the PC range (but I'm not a fan of sidemounting them). Have fun! http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  17. Below. It tends to be trying to open off heading - the twists will then develop the other way! I think I'm overcorrecting but I'm interested to see what other people think. http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  18. Be careful out there! Some of you guys haven't got that many jumps (sorry if that sounds patronising) http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  19. I jump a xaos 21 and have heard everyone rave about their openings. Mine is pretty bad! I get twists about 25% of the time and have had 3 chops in 400 jumps. I used to jump a stiletto and had twists about 5 times in 1400 jumps and never chopped it. What am I doing wrong? (If i chop again our CCI may ground the canopy!) http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
  20. I have 4 reserve rides on my PD126R and would be reluctant to have anything else packed in my kit. most people I know who jump cheap reserves have never had a reserve ride. I weigh 200lbs without kit and the landings have been fine (in nil winds). The openings are great - very positive and on heading, i have been jumping cameras on 3 of these 4 reserve rides and haven't hurt my neck at all. I have heard very good things about the french techno reserves also, but haven't jumped one so can't comment.
  21. I've been jumping a Xaos 21 - 108 this year and have done about 400 jumps on it. Before that I did 1400 on a stiletto 135 (i weigh 200 lbs and have 2300 jumps). I love the way the canopy flies and lands (particularly on back risers), in my opinion it goes further and faster than the FX (i've jumped the 109) and the velocity (i've jumped the 120 - 96. I cutaway twice in my first 20 jumps through line twists then I stopped psycho packing! Precisions website do reccommend this method of packing. I recently cutaway again because of line twists. It could be my body position or my packing but prior to this I had 1 cutaway in 1900 jumps. The lines are still looking OK I will be interested to see how long they last. Hope you find this useful
