  1. If your chasing a industrial strength glue that bonds foam products try and get your hands on "Zap a Gap" it has bonding properties 3x the strength of super glue. Hobbie shops selling model planes etc generally stock it. Be very carefull as it has the viscousity of water and it doesn't take much to bond stuff together. The bottle it is sold in is quite large so it should last you for years if kept in the fridge. It retails in Australia for $25-$30. Acetone or nail polish remover is best for removing unwanted spills. As I said earlier becarefull with it as it is easy to bond you hand to your face. "It ain't over till it's over"
  2. A close friend of mine has done just that (Ridden the tandem and held the drogue bridle). It was published in a skydiver magazine. Needless to say all involved got in a lot of shit. They all had an average of 7000+ jumps each. Made for a very cool picture. But it makes my skin crawl to think of the shit that could happen if somthing went wrong. Nice one "Wally"
  3. Rumor has it that the PC101 has been superceeded. Is there any truth to this. It is becoming hard to find new PC101's here in Australia. "It ain't over till it's over"
  4. Just a dumb question?? To transfer DV from one PC101 to another do I require a 4 pin to 4 pin firewire cable. Or is it the 4 pin to 6 pin. Dum answers accepted!!!
  5. Check out www.cookiecomposites.com Their Monster XV helmet and box is a beauty
  6. Shit man!! been stuck in the Australian desert for the last 2 weeks and my brain has been fried. I got all excited when I saw the post re blocks. Unfortunately I haven't learnt the blocks by the number/letter etc. I'm glad GK4 sorted you out. Have fun with your 4 ways and GLF!!! Cookie
  7. The block is all about the random. Take a shoulder and leg grip wide and don't crowd yourself. Build some height in the random, just buy having a wide grip in the center you will already be a little high. Basically it is a turn in place with the 3 way doing most of the work especially the center guy moving forward. There are a couple of ways to do the block. 1. Is with you going straight over the center 2. With you going over the wing. Also I try to tell myself that the 3 way compressed isn't there and to only concerntrate on my move. Also don't use the grips to lanch yourself over, be calm and relaxed not crowded and turn in place. I also target a grip with one hand and present with the other at the close I hoped this has helped out. Have fun in the tunnel. Unfurtunately here down under in Oz there are know such luxuries

Just a thing on the double arm grips. There is a IPC rule relating to sidebody grips. A few blocks from memory where a bust can occur from common sidebody grips are Ritz-Pick and in 8 way Wagga-Wagga. I know from experience about this rule as we triple busted the Wagga in one comp jump at our last nationals. A team must clearly shown seperation between common grips ie if you have a high grip in a 2 way and there is a side-body docked on the 2 way the sidebody person cannot have there hand over the top of the two way grips. I think that this is where the double arm grips can come into play. I personally dont have them, I am fairly tall so my upper arm grip is long and there is plenty of room for two people to share my upper arm grip. I hope this has made some sense. Cookie
  9. I have a good body position drill that dosen't cost any money, easy to do with the help of the T.V/sofa and a pillow. Generally good RW jumpers have excellent visualisation skills. They use these skills at best on the creepers before the next jump. Rearly are they thinking of there body position pryor to the next jump. So to get yourself to a point where your don't have think about using your legs to move forwards can take many jumps and costs lots of money. Here is my Body position trainer thats free of charge with know hidden extra's. Get comfortable on the floor in your lounge room. Have the TV turn to your favourite show. Place a pillow under your chin (Dont go to sleep). Place your feet up on the lounge. See yourself in the box/mantis position and relax back to your TV show. Here comes the important bit. When the commercial break comes on it's time to go skydiving. Post right up on your pillow. Look over both shoulders and check out your feet and legs are looking. This is a good position for out facing formations where you need to see the guy behind you. Close your eyes and visualise as if from above you can see yourself in that perfect body position. When your favorite show comes back on relax back into the pillow and wait for the next ad break or skydive. An Ad break usually last for 90 seconds which is more than enough for a good skydive. Before you know you will own the mantis position, turn in place and face out like a demon. Cookie

    rw suit

If you wish to do a serious RW team the second arm grip is a good idea. I would definitely suggest getting the inside leg grips. My RW teams are into black for the ease of judging, but I reckon bright orange and blue is a cool option!!! I have 7 RW suits in the cupboard from varying manufactures. But the ones I cherish the most (I have 3 of these) is from a manufacturer from Australia called RMW jump suits. She has a online colouring in program and her suits are built to last and well priced. If you give her a go drop my name and mention a team called XLR8. She may just give you a special deal, no guarantee's of course. I hope I have been of help Cookie
  11. I have a couple of no shit there I was stories. I was doing a 3 way compressed exit with me on point with my mate doing video. The center guys rig pops as he leaves and the freebag hangs up on our cameramans helmet. with a breif struggle he gets it free. And another. During a pratice jump the day before our National championship starts we were doing a block (Snowflake-offset) when my my altimeter comes off my hand. With lightning reflexs our cameraman reaches out and catches it. No bullshit!!! the video is great because he continues to film us and your thinking it's gone but as we track he holds it up to the camera. He is way to cool. Cookie
  12. Yes there are many thermo formable materials out there, but your best bet is to get in contact with the manufacturer and get the next size up liner.
  13. Dude, I saw the RMW post and just had to reply. They are the best suits ever built. I personally own 3. You can seem to break them and Michelle is so easy to deal with.
