m2 AAD? Worth it, or go with a different brand?
skyderrill66 replied to 20_kN's topic in Gear and Rigging
I would be afraid to buy one and end up with a$1,000 paper weight like the argus. i would only consider something that has been around and is proven and accepted. I know SD arizona wont let the argus on their aircraft and i am sure their are more dz,s that won,t allow them. It would suck to go to a new dz for a big boogie or just to have fun and be told you can,t jump because you have brand x aad in your rig. -

Need recommendations for first main canopy.
skyderrill66 replied to Ares6701's topic in Gear and Rigging
When Spectra goes out of trim on a big canopy with low wing loading, the typical symptoms are increased off-heading openings, harder openings, and less effective flares. Those are pretty mild consequences IMO. I lost a good friend because of those mild consequences. He was jumping a old saber 1 i think a 190 and he was around 165 lbs and it opened so hard it tore his aorta and they think he was dead before he hit the ground. so no they are most definitely not mild consequences. -
Who ever this jumper is he needs to buy a lottery ticket as he is the luckiest man around.

32 jumps and already thinking about adding a camera. You need to learn to walk before you run. 32 jumps you need to learn to skydive safely first before adding a camera. -
this is why i will never jump an unsafe and dangerous rig that a wings is. in my opinion a wings h&c is just as dangerous as a racer equiped with a dual sided rsl. https://youtu.be/VKVAtjfGjp0?list=FLJNizNJpQQSgqGmNg8sk1vg

skyfox1970 your attitude is what is causing you grief not the others. Listening to your replies i notice you have a very pour attitude and think people owe you all their attention. 120 jumps in 12 years and your pour attitude is your problem. Show up at dz,s on a regular basis and loose the pour attitude and life will get better. Until your attitude changes you Will never be accepted. Think hard before you reply to my negative comments that would be a start.

advices for first static-line jump & injured back ?
skyderrill66 replied to drago76's topic in Safety and Training
This is not a joke if you continue skydiving thinking you know more than your instructors who learned from experience and not the internet you will be a fatality. Please stop and listen to your instructors so you dont become a fatality. This is why your hero was killed. Please take skydiving seriously so we dont read about you dying. I am not telling you this to be mean or to be funny or anything like that i dont want to see a fellow skydiver and human being die. So please listen and live life so we dont read your obituary add. Blue skies and safe skydives. -
