If you are a student skydiver (no actual license of any sort) then you should ask your USPA (or equivalent if out of the US) AFF rated jumpmaster for advice, instruction, and/or definitions. Oh, and prepare for a plf on every landing approach. Heh. :) ***************** Attitude is everything!

There are some folks who won't listen to the all the best advice on the planet. Some even get downright nasty about anyone trying to be helpful. What can you do if you've tried to offer guidance and it isn't well received? Just light a candle and burn incense for them... One of my jm's once said that sometimes a license is a license to be stupid if you so choose. Sorry about your friend. ***************** Attitude is everything!

Yes, I do and my daughters have a copy as well as a copy of my living will/durable power of attorney for health care. I would encourage you to also execute one each of those as well. It help ensure that your wishes are carried out should you become incapacitated....it could happen! I also stow a copy of the living will/durable power of attorney for health care in the glove compartment of my car. Odds are in favor of a car accident ruining my day! It's not morbid it's simply practical and kind to your family to have these things in place. :) ***************** Attitude is everything!

Sadly, about a year ago, a jumper actually bragged about 'padding' her log book so she could get her B Lic. I've never jumped with her and probably won't in the future either. I've got a lot to learn in skydiving and I'd like to have confidence in the fact that those who profess to have more skill than I do, actually do. Folks who lie about their jump numbers put not only themselves at risk, but others who jump with them. It's disgusting and you have to wonder what else they utter with a forked tongue! "Liar liar, pants on fire".... ***************** Attitude is everything!

Made my 'first' CReW jump at #62 or something. Have since done some 2 stacks, a couple of 4 stacks and a downplane (LOTS of fun!!), but since I bought a 'new to me' canopy I'm less enthusiastic. Don't want this canopy to risk being sliced and diced. If I had the dough, I'd buy a CReW rig/canopy and do it often. It's fun and challenging. I choose to do CReW with experienced CReWdogs because I'm not. Big Blue Skies!! ***************** Attitude is everything!
