  1. So the other day the jazz station I use to annoy myself into waking up was playing "Favorite Things". List yours! * Black Sabbath covers by Tony Bennet * Hillary Clinton in gold nipple rings These are some of my favorite things! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  2. Guess he's just going to have to use it on himself! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  3. Extra bonus points if that bit.ly link takes you to goatse.cx I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  4. It's even easier on my rooted cyanogen phone: 1. Turn on laptop 2. Connect to the WAP "FBI Surveillance Van" If you've ever seen that access point at a DZ, panicked and flushed all your weed down the toilet, sorry about that. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  5. It's been a while since I've messed around with web pages, but couldn't you just create another frame and load the URL for the link in that frame? Frames tend to be pretty hideous, though... I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  6. I'm doing reasonably well with a Samsung Galaxy 6 rooted and installed with a lollipop build of Cyanogenmod. The first few nightly builds had fairly unstable bluetooth, but they mostly seem to have sorted that out by now. Samsung's default UI is atrocious, though. I always approach it thinking I'll keep an open mind about it and then always end up rooting and replacing it in less than a week. I guess one of the telcos (I want to say Verision) locks the phone down so you can't install a different android version, so it's a good idea to choose a phone first and then make sure you can do what you want to it. Friend of mine has an iphone and my impression of it is that it's constantly running out of battery. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  7. Interesting style of dyslexia you've got there! He said after he finally stopped laughing enough that he could type again. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  8. I don't know if the recipe is authentic Jamaican, it's slow-cooked in its marinade, which is made of pineapple, garlic, habenero peppers, allspice and brown sugar. That sounds pretty Jamaican to me! I hadn't worked with habeneros too much before this, but they have a more consistent burn than jalepinos do, lately. I think I'll be working with them a lot more in the future! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  9. Why are you in hospital? Did I miss a thread? It's probably the same place the VCs and failing companies get the coffee they replace the good coffee with at various companies. I want to say the brand name is "Peets." The slogan is "Peets - the urine makes it taste better!" (Starbucks' is "So good, you don't even mind the urine.") 10. Yep! The sauce this recipe makes is pretty amazing too. I've been eating jerk pork sandwiches the past couple days. I never leave the meat under the broiler long enough after I shred it though. It was just starting to get crisp in a couple of places when I pulled it. Probably could have used another minute or two. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. 11. Well, I'm going to count that as a success. The sandwich does need some pineapple habenero salsa though. I'll have to make a batch before lunch tomorrow. https://plus.google.com/photos/115052911915665400296/albums/6124405964776323841 I was a bit worried for a minute -- when I opened the slow cooker, I started coughing uncontrollably from the spices. It drove me to the back of the kitchen and my room mate back downstairs. It wasn't any spicier than usual when I ate it, though. The habeneros seem to be way more predictable than jalepinos. Two habeneros will put the sauce into the middle of my pain range and unlike Thai peppers it doesn't grow hotter the more you eat. You can still taste the food and it's also nicely spicy. 12. So the slow cooker jerk chicken recipe worked great! Today I'm trying that marinade with some pork shoulder. Judging from how my house smells right now, I'm guessing it's going to also be successful. I'm going to try shredding the pork, putting it under the broiler for a few minutes and serving it sloppy-joe style on a roll with some of the sauce. It really kind of looks like using this recipe you can jerk any meat you can get your hands on! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  13. Coffee really doesn't do it for me anymore. Jumping out of a plane wakes me up. Coffee is just a primer for that. Now if I could just figure out how to jump out of a plane every morning, 365 days a year... It wouldn't be THAT much more expensive than Starbucks! 14. The best coffee I've ever had but sadly they're temporarily sold out. I'm partially responsible for that. I know a guy who knows a guy, and can order it by the kilogram. So I'm making due with this one until they get another shipment. This one was actually good enough for me to order a kilogram of, as well. It's a bit grassy and kind of reminds me of a very good bowl of pipe tobacco. I just brew and drink them black. One does not add cream or sugar to a cup of coffee like this. 15. As long as it's not exploding when you go to sit or something, should be fine. Grab a digital altimeter or hit the wind tunnel and see how fast you fall. If you also had a baggy one, you could use them selectively to increase your range. I spend a few minutes in the tunnel every so often going up and down like a yo-yo and trying to hang out at the top of the tunnel where the air's starting to die down. That's really improved my ability to match speeds with a formation. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  16. "Do A Barrel Roll"? Or "This Isn't My First Wingsuit Rodeo, You Know?" I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  17. I think three is the correct number of cats. If you have just one, you're the sole attention of a cat. That's exhausting. Two cats doesn't seem to strike the correct balance either. Any more than three is too many cats. Your cats look awesome
  18. I'm not in great shape, but I wouldn't want to be much more out of shape than I was when I started either. You do need to be able to walk around and climb up an airplane ladder with a 40 pound student rig on. Freefall and flying the canopy aren't a huge physical effort. High pulls and wingsuit flying are both a bit more work. First time I did 6 minutes in the tunnel I was sore for three days. Now I can do 20 in there and won't feel it at all the next day. A lot of that was me making it a lot harder than it needed to be, though. Freefall's more about balance, precision and control than muscle. If you try to just muscle your way through the air, you're gonna have a bad time. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?

  21. People have already mentioned most of them but: * Mushrooms. I could not abide by them as a child, now I like them just about any way. The melting pot slices them super-thin and tosses them in a bit of dressing, which is probably my favorite. * Spinach. There's actually an Indian restaurant near here that deep fries the stuff * Brussel Sprouts. The cheese importer in Longmont roasts them with good parmesan cheese and a bit of lemon juice. Pretty much proving that anything you hated as a child was probably because your parents were terrible cooks. * Fish. God I hated fish growing up. There's a fantastic sushi restaurant near my house that I feel compelled to go to at least once a week now. I can eat the stuff cooked to, I just prefer it raw when it's good that way. My parents did things to fish that should be banned by the Geneva Convention. When the cheese importers does a fish fry with an entire catfish, that's like a fishgasm. 22. I have 4 steel balls. I'd take a picture of them and post it but can't be arsed to reduce my phone camera's image size to fit the forum's upload size limit. I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  23. I bet you're regretting not scoring any weed in Colorado now! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  24. This is true. I don't usually wander too far from the DZ. I did take a spot from a 3 or 4 miles away with some wingsuit guys one time, though. Definitely wasn't in a hurry that day! I'm trying to teach myself how to set things on fire with my mind. Hey... is it hot in here?
  25. If I take my time, it can take 15 minutes or so. If I hurry I can be down in 5 or 6 minutes. Yeah probably. Even with the 20 minute turn around times on a good day at Mile Hi, I won't stay up long enough to conflict with the hop and pops. You're going to want to coordinate with the safety guy and tell the pilot what you're up to. The safety guy at Eloy just sent me and a buddy west of the runway until we hit 3000 feet. IIRC everyone else was east that day, so we weren't flying in anyone else's airspace. It's pretty there. I can dig up some videos from Mile Hi in Colorado, if you want to PM me.
