You are in for a blast. My son and I did the course at the FFU - and it was fantastic. So much so that we actually took a second holiday there just to jump! Enjoy, do what the instructors tell you - oh, and you will have a radio so you will be instructed under canopy! It is great!

I nearly pissed my pants - but you gonna get howls of outrage from the animal do-gooders! But really really cool!

Why dont you ask the BPA?

Andy, hi from another late starter! Never too old, and never too silly! Enjoy the journey.

In SA (and I believe in UK?) you can issue an invoice if the amount is under a certain amount (Typically equivalent of £5000), put a pay by date (normally 2 weeks) and when they don't pay, list them with a credit agency as non-payers, and get the small claims court to issue notice of proceedings. Normally they pay up. Very satisfying to get your money!

worst case scenario, somebody reports this to the CAA and the balloon pilot looses his licence. Honestly! Not clever! The pilot is assumed to be in control, and therefore is assumed to be complicit in your drop unless you confess, and then the CAA could strip you of your skydiving certification. Or both of you.

But Special Forces do things differently!

The jumps are marketed as HALO - will be between 28 and 30K exit, probably a normal opening - anywhere between 4,5 and 3K.not quite miltary LO but that is the marketing speak!

Much appreciated - thanks!

Myself and a bunch of mates are planning on travelling to the USA to do a HALO jump, and for myself, spend 7 days travelling around jumping. Because I am a lazy SOB, thought I would ask if anyone knows whether there is a ist of which DZ's offer HALO jumps? Any help gratefully received. Also, If anyone wants to join us, please do let me know. (Between 8 and 15 jumpers from the UK will come over!) Any help gratefully received. And who knows, if we meet, it could be beers!!! Cheers Ken

Good luck. Hopefully you will be able to introduce your kids to skydiving someday and enjoy it with them!

My AFF - But it is a long story so....

Thank you. I hope you are enjoying jumping as much as my son and I do. There are a few places that do 30K jumps, so...if it is your DZ then we will have to share a beer and stories! Enjoy, be safe and Blue Skies -
Nataly, I experienced this from your partner's perspective - my ex's ex would not leave her alone - and it continued for months - until I got involved. Maybe get your partner to tell him, in no uncertain terms, that continued interest will result in a blanket party by your partner and a few friends. Of course, if your partner is non violent, there are enough single guys here who would visit him for a date with your twin sister! lol

My AFF - But it is a long story so....
kenthediver replied to kenthediver's topic in Introductions and Greets
As an update - Matt and I returned to FFU for 5 days at the end of July. We timed it to meet with other friends we had met when we were first in Ocana. I did a check jump as it had been more than 30 days since we jumped, completed my last console, and did some fun jumps, including 2 coached jumps as I work towards my FS1. Again, FFU were amazing, I had to redo the EP's as I was a returning student, and get re-briefed on the landing patterns - but would far rather have too much safety than not enough. I have also submitted the paperwork for my BPA A licence. Blue skies to all! -

Your welcome. Good luck with the AFF. -
and the film script makes it historically and legally accurate? oh boy!

Steve, It was really good to meet you. Good luck with all you do!

Nataly, you want a job that allows you to enjoy life. Or a richer boyfriend maybe? Or both? Jokes aside, London is okay - money is good, but you gotta get jumping again!

kenthediver replied to dcjulie99's topic in Gear and Rigging
Julie, Where in Poland? I am on an IT contract in Poland for at least the next 6 months and can call / check the rig exists if you like - note - I am NOT a rigger but I can at least check it exists! Cheers Ken -
Hi there - started at 49 with my son. Read my intro in this forum, might just help explain some of the emotions! Enjoy - It is soooooo worth it

Hi Steve, Matt jumped there and liked it. I will be jumping mainly at Dunkeswell. Wherever you go, you will make friends and have fun. Keep safe. (PS - great to have met you in Ocana!) Ken

Seems he does not understand public and private persona's. Publically, all Brits (myself included) will tell you that we are fully ready for the olympics, privately, over a beer, we are all mortified and seriously embarressed by the different union's attempts to embarress our government by calling strikes during this showpiece. And yes, the unions have stated that they want to embarress the conservative government. Not nice! As for the meeting with the heads of MI5/6, just the colonialists still (trying to) manipulating foreign policy in order to try and extend western democracy for another few years until the world goes to hell in a handbasket due to the collapse of the financial systems because of greed!
