  1. I might be getting a spot at the rv park, too. 15 miles from the dz according to mapquest. Will someone who is familiar with the area check out this link to the directions and tell me if the location is good or not. Or does anyone know of an rv park that is closer to dz? mapquest Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  2. THANK YOU to all who supported us! It was a perfect day for a run. A few pics. One before the start, one right after we got started to see the mass amount of people - we started in the middle of the pack and then one right after the finish line. 3. My "day" job isn't showing me enough love in the paycheck. My "night" job put me on the schedule for tonight. The way Adam has been acting lately, I'm sure he'll help you with that pitcher. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  4. Sadly that can also be viewed as anti-social, stuck up, boring, judgmental . . . . . . . Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  5. On a more serious note - - I wish I could figure out the world. Being older than the majority of the people I hang around with sometimes puts me at a disadvantage. I've had more years to see the drama, games and bullshit. I don't have a very high tolerance for any of it. I try to not give too strong of an opinion and usually sit back and watch the shit unfold. Be who you are, stick to your morals and always do what is best for you. Pick your friends from the people who have a moral code that you can accept. People with whom you can be yourself and share life experiences and learn from. We are all different. Just because we all skydive, we all can't be friends. 6. A group of us saw Spamalot at the Fox here in Atlanta. The dress was pretty casual. Khakis or casual dress pants would be fine. Underdressed is always better than overdressed. Unless, of course, you show up in sweat pants. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  7. Jason is nice to look at. That's for sure.
  8. We all know how irresistible you can be.
  9. I agree with many that you aren't giving enough information. Dictionary.com defenition of nemesis is - 1. something that a person cannot conquer, achieve, etc.: The performance test proved to be my nemesis. 2. an opponent or rival whom a person cannot best or overcome. 3. (initial capital letter) Classical Mythology. the goddess of divine retribution. 4. an agent or act of retribution or punishment. Sounds more like you have an annoying pest or someone with whom you might not see eye to eye. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  10. At least she didn't give him corn rows!
  11. Just spoke with Becky (she sound like a super hot manifest babe). All slots with power are full, but I am on the waiting list. So are you, Chris. Hopefully someone with a power slot will flake and I'll have power. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  12. I got me a big pick up truck now. I'll tow ya. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  13. Much better looking with a shaved face, too.
  14. We talked about this last night and I think we are going to make it.
  15. I did my water training last year in a swimming pool (thanks Alan). We were given great explanations of the gear, what to expect and how to get out. Then we jumped into the deep end of the pool and had to get out of the harness and swim out from under the canopy. I felt a lot more comfortable doing a beach jump after that. I don't normally jump in Tevas but since we were by the beach I had them on that day. Damn, can those canopy lines get all tied up in sandals!!!! 16. I believe this to be true, as well. I had my pilot's license prior to skydiving. After my 3rd jump I was told "you can land a plane, you'll have no problem with a parachute". I took a canopy course after 300 jumps and was shocked to realize how little I actually knew. Coaches and experienced jumpers help with the freefall but don't spend enough time on canopy control. If you aren't able to take a canopy course get with instructors, coaches or experienced jumpers. Hopefully everyone can find someone to help with canopy skills. Yes, the "official" training courses might be lacking but it is up to every skydiver to learn as much as possible so that we can all be safe. 19. Good for them! If the Iranian women went elsewhere to get a tandem - great show of courage and determination. If women from other countries are there to do the tandems for the women - great way to support other women in the sport! Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  20. I bought a brand new Wings made for me. Never felt comfortable. Just bought a G3. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  21. Wow, you really have done a great job! Have you set an ultimate goal? Weight? Body fat? Clothing size? Keep up the good work. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  22. Hey, this is a thread about boobies not pussies. Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
  23. Glad to hear hers hasn't spread. A mastectomy has got to be very hard for any woman. I had a scare a few years ago. Fortunately the mammogram found nothing and the mass went away on it's own. That was the scariest week of my life. I never miss a monthly self-exam and now get mammograms every year (recommended since I am in my 40s anyway).
