skinnyshrek 0 #1 March 31, 2005 Have a question. Why is it you can't get the wrinkles around the closing flaps out on the mirage? I have had 4 riggers pack my mirage(2) containers and still can't get the wrinkles out. I know similar instances with other people. Is this a common problem? I'm not to fussy, its just that everytime i get it re-packed the rigger will call and explain about it... katzurki 0 #2 March 31, 2005 Did you have the latest service bulletin mod done to your Mirage(s)?
skinnyshrek 0 #3 March 31, 2005 yes, i have a brand new rig and one that is 2 yrs old. Both have the same problem. Both were re-packed yesterday. The rigger tried for an hour to rid them wrinkle free..http://www.skydivethefarm.com do you realize that when you critisize people you dont know over the internet, you become part of a growing society of twats? johnny1488 1 #4 March 31, 2005 The SB should not be visible when the rig is completely closed. I've found to get the rig to look good you really have to work the p/c into the packjob with the bulk to the sides. They dont like a ton of "ears" either, more of a wedge. larsrulz 0 #5 March 31, 2005 What size container is it for that 176? PDRs have a greater pack volume than something like a smart. I got a strong urge to fly, but I got no where to fly to. -PF
skinnyshrek 0 #6 March 31, 2005 Its for the 176. I clearly told them at Mirage what canopies i'm putting in the container before i ordered. I've had quite a few PM's regarding this and it seems like its a common problem.http://www.skydivethefarm.com do you realize that when you critisize people you dont know over the internet, you become part of a growing society of twats? RkyMtnHigh 0 #7 March 31, 2005 I too have wrinkles in my Mirage G3..same area where you are referring. I've had it almost a year now and assume the wrinkles are set in for good now. I can't tell if it's a sewing or pack volume issue. _________________________________________

Tonto 1 #16 April 1, 2005 QuoteTwice as comfortable [rant]I don't get this. If something is comfortable, that's it. It's comfortable. Twice as comfortable is like half of fuck all. Half of fuck all is fuck all, and twice as comfortable is comfortable. I climb. I don't see reviews on 30 litre day bags that people wear for 15 min stints - sitting down - competing for which is the most comfortable, and I don't see climbing harnesses that you're expected to hang in for MAYBE 2 min going on about how comfortable they are. You'd swear most skydivers were covered in puss oozing weeping sores they needed to be pampered so much. Fuck!{/rant]It's the year of the Pig.
