If for some reason I need to make a compensation for density altitude, I know how to do that.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. It makes it easier from someone in Colorado to answer a question like "I sitfly at 150 SAS. Is that a normal speed?" It also helps me normalize for differences in exit altitudes. When using TAS, I might see a lower average speed for the dive on jumps where we exited lower due to clouds. I would rather have a consistent number.
