howardwhite 4 #26 April 4, 2008 Had a great time jumping the Otter (and the 206 that came with it) today at its summer home in Massachusetts. (It's not "Desert Express" any more.) HW
DougH 270 #27 April 4, 2008 I will have to head up there sometime this season to see Van. Half of my jumps have been out of "white plane" when it was flying at Danielson. Great plane, great pilot. Too bad you never got to jump out of "brown plane" that was a cushy ride to alt, satalite radio and all! Emiko flew the 206; fastest-climbing 206 I've ever been in. They have two 206s there already and will bring in the third shortly. HW
DougH 270 #29 April 4, 2008 Howard please tell Emiko and Van that Dougie said hello the next time you are up that way."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

ZigZagMarquis 8 #31 April 4, 2008 Did "they" validate the Missouri Women's State Record? I heard Judge Judy got pictures (video ?) and paperwork (?) to sign off on... a national rated judge in the discipline has to verify the jump, amongst other things (I think) for it to become Official. howardwhite 4 #32 April 4, 2008 QuoteWhich DZ is that? Pepperell, correct?? Yup. As 121PM was originally in the fleet of Pilgrim Airlines, out of New London, CT., it's not far from where it first worked for a living. HW

NoShitThereIWas 0 #34 April 7, 2008 Not to burst anyone's bubble but we made a new Missouri women's state record on Satuday at Bowling Green, MO with eight ladies. We did it on the first attempt followed by a round. It was a success and I think we have some good talent and can do even better with what we have as far as adding lots more points or making it bigger. My suggestion is for us to add more ladies slowly and try to get everyone involved. One of the 6 ladies on the 6 way, Ashley Kassler was on the 8 way; we need to get the other five of you who were on there, take Ashley off the skydive to shoot video and make it a 12 Way. I can see that as being a very attainable goal. Then we will have a ladies 12 way with a female videographer. We could eventually work our way up to a 20 Way.Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say."
ZigZagMarquis 8 #35 April 7, 2008 Is it really a valid state record if Kate Cooper isn't on it? ... but seriously, Congrats!
denete 2 #36 April 8, 2008 Totally off topic: Nice paint job on the plane. I just finished doing some Clay Smith vector graphic work last night (minus the stoagie). Fun coincidence.
vpjr 1 #37 April 8, 2008 Emiko could fly the Otter for your Womens 20 way state record. How much extra alt could they get if I was flying 20 women?
ZigZagMarquis 8 #38 April 9, 2008 Quote How much extra alt could they get if I was flying 20 women? Even though 1PM is now plain ol' "Express" vs. being "Desert Express"... I'd assume that if you were flying, Jr, that "extra altitude" could be achieved via the "traditional means".
IEJuggalo 0 #39 April 9, 2008 ...I am depressed. Cal-City was my start in this awesome sport. Van Sr. closed down just after I got comfortable. You guys take care of those planes. Good ol' #14. Have fun guys. I am about to cry. I know, I'm a bitch, but I cant wait to see it again. I will even travel to jump her again. An end of an era...
