I learned that when you get your first new rig (saber230 to a pilot 188), you are going to land hard the first few times (ouch), and you are going to owe 4 cases of beer(ouch).

Learned a good drill dive for 4-way.
Figured out how to sail a 16 foot sailboat in San Diego harbor.
Learned something about skin contact area vs perceived current.
Found out the problems people have when they grow corals in 'captivity.'

I learned that having your laterals (lower connectors) come loose on a tandem is really damned annoying. You lock the student's hips in place with your knees then leg lock them on opening.

Beyond that, I've learned that I'm really enjoying having a grand caravan and that its easier on my body when doing a lot of tandems in a day then it is out of a 182.
