His speach really demomstrates that the Democratic party has to have a clas of poor that are dependant on government for them (the Democrats) to keep getting elected
The policies that they say advocates for the poor really just insures that this class will continue to exist

Therefore, they can stay in office

Look at all the states and cites where the Democrats have been in power for decade

On the verg of going bankrupt, the number of poor certianly have not declined and in many cases have increased
They have the stricktest gun laws and the highest gun crime rates (generally speaking)

We need to keep in mind that some on here hate the US and what it stands for. This isn't about republican/democrat, liberal or conservative. Somewhere in their lives they feel the US has done them wrong and they hate those of us who still believe it's great here. Perhaps they've never left the country and have nothing to compare it to. Maybe their parents didn't think having a flag waving on their front porch was cool. They certainly never understood that you only appreciate things you've worked for. On many levels I feel sad for them.

In order for you to be completely accurate you'd have to qualify it by saying cut all funding to every lowlife, welfare loving, parasite POS living off the government like it's a career choice. They needn't be black. Plenty of white trash, latinos, and asians who fit the bill. Pretending that today's GOP shares any values with the party during the civil war era might get you sent to the Principal's office.
