The most important people you can vote for are your local representatives - city and state representatives, governors, judges and school board members. You have far more chance of affecting their election, and they will have far more impact on your life than a president or a senator. I know, if you listen to the mass media it sounds like the only election in the US is the presidential one. It's great theater.
