Again I ask, to what church or faith do you belong?

I am of the Faith that torture is always wrong.
I am of the Faith that believes that Love is always right.
I am of the Faith that believes that Man is not to judge.
I am of the Faith of your Father.

Of what Faith be you,Ron Schott?

Peace and Understanding be unto you,
DJ

Yeah, right. That is just what I thought.

Me, I am a plain ol' vanilla Christian.

Ron, I know of the Master ,Jesus the Christ.
I have studied the teachings of the Master, Jesus the Christ.

Ron, you are not "Christian".
No student of the Master would refer to himself in that manner for reasons obvious to true students of His teachings.

Peace and understanding to you,
DJ

Do you know the three requirements for being a Christian?
Look for the shiny things of God revealed by the Holy Spirit. They only last for an instant but it is a Holy Instant. Let your soul absorb them.

>Not always.

So what's the criterion? Visible to the naked eye, or audible to the unassisted ear?

It's in a state of flux. For example, some courts will say that looking thru a window with binoculars is ok, while others would say it has to be naked eye (or if camera, without magnification). There's the factor of 52 jurisdictions plus the federal courts, compounded by the human factor of different judges ruling differently depending on their own personal predilections.

On the bright side, it makes for plenty of work for lawyers.

Life is tough. It is a lot tougher if you are stupid." ~ John Wayne

Interesting. Your faith is based on an *inconnu* and on *John Wayne*. LMAO.

Since you are uneducated about the man and his philosophy.

"Marion Mitchell Morrison (born Marion Robert Morrison; May 26, 1907 – June 11, 1979), better known by his stage name John Wayne, was an American film actor, director and producer. He epitomized rugged masculinity and became an enduring American icon. He is famous for his distinctive voice, walk and height. He was also known for his conservative political views and his support, beginning in the 1950s, for anti-communist positions."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Wayne

Folks in my age bracket considered him an American hero.

OK. Folks in your age pray to John Wayne. What kind of bible did he publish, btw?

Yup. Best preconditions to be a Jesus.

Jesus, how old are you? In which century do you (still) live?

Ron, obviously you don't.
Here is something you have yet to understand; Christ isn't a person , Christ is a title.
To be a follower of a title makes no sense.

Would you like for me to recite some mandates of the early Roman church?
Far be it of me.
Why don't you tell us all? I mean, since you know the mind of God .., tell us his requirements!!!

DJ

1. You must believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate.
2. You must believe that He died on the cross as propitiation for your sins.
3. You must believe that He was resurrected from the dead and is alive today.

any chance of moving this pile of "who is more devout to his subjective belief system" to PMs?

perhaps you both can just take pictures of your bibles and see which is bigger, then one can claim victory and judge the hell out of the other one for a week

On the plus side, just a few hundred years ago "true believers" would have been burning each other's villages to the ground and killing each other's families over whose God was the divine-est. Nowadays the arguments happen on the Internet (and the O'Reilly Factor.) Progress methinks.

Ron,
the Master,Jesus the Christ made none of these demands.

Simply he instructed us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.

Here is something for you to think about; Jesus was not a god who became man. He is a Man who learned to become like God.

I mean really, if Jesus was God where was the sacrifice? If he was God he could have tuned out the pain as easily as turning water into wine.
As a God he would have known that he could not die, so where is the sacrifice?

Further ,as people saw him after the crucifiction, surely he did not die!

To die from crucifiction it would take almost a week, considering human physiology. Three hours or so just doesen't do it. And the Master,Jesus the Christ was a very healthy man at that time.

And speaking of *blood Sacrifice*, do you really believe that God the Creator is also God a.k.a. The Destroyer?
Demanding blood sacrifice from those he created?

I wish you understanding Ron.
I hope you will desist in leading those who might look to you as a leader you astray.

Peace,
DJ

Apparently this line of thought makes you uncomfortable, rehmwa.
I'm not sure why.

Here is something to consider before banishing discussion you are uncomfortable with to PMs; the title of the thread has to do with Freedom. More specifficlly aloss of Freedom.

The Master,Jesus the Christ was all about Freedom even if it meant one was outlawed.
Because really, if you aren't willing to accept the title of outlaw , can you trully ever be Free?

Both of you have completely hijacked the thread.
Not very Christ-like. :P

The tread hasn't been "hijacked". There was no forced change in destination.
In fact the thread is on the exact same destination it has been on since the original post.

Don't forget Afghanistan and Iraq ,Bill. I believe the crusade is going on there as well.

Great piece of work...

Ralph Winter was to produce a "dark" film adaptation with Fox and Walden Media...but I'm afraid it fell through. I can't find an update and it has been removed from IMDB.

Obviously you don't understand either,Royd.
Very few do.

I made no judgement.

Ron isn't "Christian" and neither are you nor anyone else.
See, "The Christ" is a title gained by one who has completed a certain course of study .
You can be a follower of The Master ,Jesus the Christ. You can't be a "Christian" any more than you could be a Doctorian, or a Bachelorian.

An interesting read may be Dale Palmers' True Esoteric Traditions.
