I personally do not care if you go to church/sinagog/temple 7 days a week. As long as you do not try to push your beliefs on me, do what you want and be as "religious" as you want. Just don't go around thinking you are better than me for it.

There is nothing more pointless than trying to argue to the religious that religion is mindlessness and willful self-deception.

To the OP, I don't know how to answer your poll. I am a Catholic and try to practice it to the best of my ability. I honestly do not talk religion unless that is the topic of conversation, which happens regularly here in SC. When I here or see something posted about Catholicism that is incorrect, I will definitely try to correct it. I don't know if that makes me 'extremely religious'. One thing I will never do is tell someone they are going to hell. I have to be concerned only with myself going to hell. My religious beliefs are probably the most influential thing in my life. I pray privately, unless I am attending mass.

I do find it annoying when anyone tries to shove any topic down my throat. I will try to treat them with tolerance though. I'm not always successful.

Being "extremely" religious most often equals to, or borders on FANATISM. While I understand that sometimes those "extremists" may not directly try to influence people around them, more often than not this is exactly the case. They try to promote (not sure if it's the right word, but I can't think of another) their views, or even worse -- enforce them. I had a looong, and I mean all-night long, conversation once with a die-hard Catholic, who appeared to be on a mission to convert me. Boy, was I tired like hell, and absolutely pissed!

I have nothing against any relegion -- even though I am completely, 100% non-religious person, I respect everybody's right and freedom to believe whatever they want. That is, unless and until it starts to interfere with lives of others around, who are not sharing their beliefs. As they say, in more general terms: your freedom ends where my freedom begins...
