nacmacfeegle 0 #10 December 12, 2002 Sheesh, what dull colours, you need more purple Dave...Rich, I jump a FF PUD on my javelin oddity, it works real nice, not a hard pull or anything, the handle "feels" good, very secure. But thyen again, I jumped a pullout for a couple of hundred a while back. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. rgoper 0 #11 December 12, 2002 Dave (nacmac): do you prefer it?--Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"
nacmacfeegle 0 #12 December 12, 2002 Absolutely, its far less likely to snag than a hackey. If you have to get out of wee planes like cessnas etc, its much more secure during bum shuffles to the door. Also, it doesn't float, wiggle or move in the mouth of the pouch, so it is always in exactly the same place. Of course, initially it feels a little strange, but once you get used to it, you won't go back to a hackey handle. You still in the desert bro?-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. blueshrew 0 #13 December 12, 2002 I jump a pull out, too. So does my b/f, so does his former team mate. But I know a lot of people that will get you afraid of a pull out, so I figure that's why less people jump them.

garywainwright 0 #15 December 12, 2002 Re: the back view of your container. Your main pin protector flap isn't doing a very good job is it? Are all Wings like that? I was considering one.http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
Viking 0 #16 December 12, 2002 that looks like dave didn't point his main pin upwords like your supposed to. The main flap is the same design as on a Mirage. The only thing that bothers me that i have heard about them is that the reserve pc spring is much weaker than other rigs on the market. I haven't comfirmed this though.I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet - chicagoskydiver My God has a bigger dick than your god -George Carlin
garywainwright 0 #17 December 12, 2002 Is Aggiedaves profile up to date? If so I'm impressed at the neatness and size of the rig with 170's in it.http://www.garywainwright.co.uk Instagram gary_wainwright_uk
Viking 0 #18 December 12, 2002 as far as i know He is still jumping a 170, any smaller and he would loading his main at 2.0:1!!! nacmacfeegle 0 #19 December 12, 2002 Gary, Aggiedave is about the same size as me...He's a big lad, but with a smaller gut, my rig fitted him fine when I loaned it to him. It looks like his profile is up to date, as it has his new/recent gear in it. Reminds me of a joke... Girly jumper" does my butt look big in this jumpsuit?" skygod7777 0 #20 December 12, 2002 QuoteYou mean like the pullout on the Racer SST? SST, you know S.truggle S.truggle T.hud well, that actually came from not being able to pull the reserve. later
AggieDave 6 #21 December 12, 2002 Richard, The FF handle is very very secure, I can pick my rig up with it; however, it doesn't make a hard pull. Either way I feel very secure with it, its rock solid.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
AggieDave 6 #22 December 12, 2002 Main Pin Flap: Thats odd, I hadn't noticed that in that pic, good eye. I pulled my rig out to look at it, I must have just done something weird when I packed it that time, especially since that pic was taken the first day I had it all put together back in October. It's not actually like that. Gear Size: Yeah, those are 170's in the rig, with that it looks very neat and compact, smaller the other rigs. Yeah, I generally keep my profile up to date. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Deuce 1 #23 December 12, 2002 I've got the BOC pud handle on both my Wings, I really prefer it. No exposed bridle at all, and the handle is in exactly the same place each time. Damn Dave! Nice looking getup! That rig must be the same size as my first one, with a PDR 176, and a 170? Looks kinda teenie on your big Texas self. Cool pics. Is that you with the banner?
AggieDave 6 #24 December 12, 2002 Yup, that's me with the banner, I was practicing for a demo jump that never actually happened, but I enjoyed the jump all the same. I'm under a tandem-wanna-be Navigator 300 in that pic. Yeah, I have a Heatwave 170 and a PDR 176 in that container.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Unutsch 0 #25 December 12, 2002 hi there! i jumped a borrowed atom 000 (parachute de france) with a pull out last winter ---> and i definetely won't buy it on my next rig!! why? cause it was winter (at 3.000m we had -18°C) and i had my skiing gloves on (stupid me... but i tried it out on the ground, and it felt ok...), which made it impossible for me to pull out the handle on my first jump with the rig... and as i was getting lower and lower (I LIKE THAT GROUND RUSH) i finally decided to give it one last try before dumping my reserve: i grabbed it with my left (!!!!) hand, pulled it out, and somehow managed to give it into my right hand and throw it away (strange, i didn't go headdown)... i actually didn't have time to check my Altimeter how low i was, cause the rig had an Impulse 95 (sold in the states as the Alpha) installed which i hadn't jumped before, so i 100% concentrated on the landing... it went ok, landed just some 400m away from the DZ, but would i opened it at 800m, i'd have enough time to play around with it oh, as i swooped, i flew exactly over a rabbit - damn did he run fast!!! and later on, i jumped with a friend's catcher gloves, almost got frostbite!!!!!
