Dutchboy 0 #1 June 18, 2003 As of 9:20am on Monday I am no longer the owner of an airplane. I had an engine failure while flying my homebuilt over rough terrain. I walked away (OK ran) with only minor injuries, but my poor little plane looks like a total loss.

Remember Flagler? The old location that Rocky Evans had? That is now "Command Aircraft Recovery". They pick up after plane wrecks, and what used to be our camping/parking/campfire area is now filled with planes in pieces. That is just so sad, on so many levels. BTW, Phil, sorry about your plane, but glad you're with us yet. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them? WFFC 1 #12 June 19, 2003 Definately glad you're OK...There's been too many things in the incidents forum of late. Well, look at the bright side. You're still an airplane owner. It just might not be airworthy. Got pictures?

tbrown 26 #16 June 19, 2003 Glad you're OK. Do you know how few people can regale their grandchildren with a story about crashing their own airplane ? I don't know the answer, but it can't be very many - and you're one of 'em, so congratulations ! Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !

They go to the air salvage lot. There is such a place south of Atlanta where my plane is supposed to go. I'm sure the first thing they'll do is yank out the avionics. I would like to at least get the data plate off the tail. Technically, I no longer own it, it belongs to the insurance company. Of course, they have yet to pay me for it!
