In high school I was (no shit) doing 130 WPM with very few errors. That was doing the 4 sentances they give you as fast as you can.

I think on average i'm hitting 3 digits but haven't tried lately.

When I graduated, it was 84 wpm with no errors, but that was straight out of typing school. I quit practicing for awhile, but my job is much easier with speed-typing, so I've gotten back into practice, and I'm back up to 73 wpm with 1 error, according to the test.

I used to type a lot faster before I landed on my right hand. Now I am typing 30 words a minute resting for 30 seconds and typing another 30 words a minute.

ok time to challenge this. Fact is, in the guiness book of world records. The last time I read this, the record was at 170 WPM with a ten word deduction for each mistake. Anybody claiming to type 200 words per minute is either, mistaken about their abilities, outright lying or deserves an award and therefore should contact the guiness book of worlds record.

No, that's fairly normal using a court reporting type typewriter. It doesn't use a normal 101-key keyboard, it uses something like a 9 key keyboard, not with letters, but with letters representing sounds.

agreed...this goes back to shorthand...of course, it's really cool if you know shorthand AND can type fast

According to the test my two finger typing only gets me 27 wpm.
I took a typing class in JR High but was always to stoned to do much.
