kelel01 1 #1 February 9, 2005 Why do women's and men's shirts button on opposite sides? I think we should use this thread to get answers to questions we've always wondered about. And if anyone can answer my question, that'd be great. Thanks. Why do dry cleaners charge $5 per shirt for women and $1 a shirt (or 99 cents) for men? They are pretty much the same except that the women's shirt is usually smaller. Makes me mad!!! Except in France, where it is pronounced "juh-weee". Why is it that France has all these strange words? Someone told me last week that they have a different word for almost all the old words that we use here. Due to the lack of anything exciting, they haven't invented any new words since 1889 when they came up with "Eiffel". No one else seems to be using it, so it is being deleted. English has all the words that are necessary, I think they are just being disagreeable.
