He knew he had about a year to live due to a very aggressive cancer that was very terminal and chemo/radiation therapy would do no good for him other than prolong the misery. Well the last track on the album....makes me tear up everytime...just remember my since passed on friends and family...and also Warren...for giving me one truely great song. Warren Zevon - Keep Me In Your Heart....it is a truely great song. you have to hear it. That sounds incredibly interesting. I am a big fan of Jackson Brown, and this album sounds worth checking out, for the trivia factor if for nothing else. Yeh, it sucks to call one man's tragedy my trivia, but you have to admit that the story behind the album is pretty cool. Emmylou Harris, Dwight Yoakam, Tom Petty, Ry Cooder, T-Bobe Burnett, Joe Walsh, Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit (from the Eagles), Tommy Shaw, John Waite, Billy Bob Thornton, Jackson Browne (who once produced Zevon), Bruce Springsteen, his son Jordan Zevon, and his long-time producer, collaborator, and friend, Jorge Calderon if your a music afficianado then you'll know some of these people.
