Your "sig" line.

Recommended Posts

Mine is an abbreviated version of a poem that I keep at my desk (and at work)

Living Eulogy

She danced.
She sang. She took.
She gave
She served
She loved
She created
She dissented.
She enlivened
She saw. She grew. She sweated.
She changed.
She learned. She laughed.
She shed her skin.
She bled on the pages of her days.
She walked through walls
She lived with intention

Another sig line that I've considered

"Forever deaf... behind lips clasped shut."

from a poem by Terri Trespicio

Wild Side

She does not sing opera in her bathrobe and bunny slippers, or eat chinese food under her black umbrella in the rain.

She never stays up late just to listen to the sound of midnight, or does a pirouette in the street all alone.

She never whistles out her window to passery below, or feverently discusses evil and world wars with the deaf man on the park bench who watches the bird eat bread crumbs.

She refuses to let her dreams gaze into the eyes of tall strangers embraciing glasses of champagne.

She will not walk barefoot on the grass, So please don't even ask her.

She'll just wait for the days to diminish and the passersby to pass by.

They will be forever deaf to a song or a whistle that will stay trapped behind her lips clapsed shut.

Karen

(oops had the wrong poem typed, silly Karen)

Mine comes from one of my favorite e.e.cummings poems...

life is more true than reason will deceive
(more secret or than madness did reveal)
deeper is life than lose:higher than have
--but beauty is more each than living’s all

multiplied with infinity sans if
the mightiest meditations of mankind
canceled are by one merely opening leaf
(beyond whose nearness there is no beyond)

or does some littler bird than eyes can learn
look up to silence and completely sing?
futures are obsolete:pasts are unborn
(here less than nothing’s more than everything)

death,as men call him, ends what they call men
-but beauty is more now than dying’s when

-but beauty is more now than dying’s when

You should probably add something in there about Dangerous to Shoelaces.

So true! He's a little three-pound warrior when it comes to battles with the evil Shoe Empire.

Mine like so many other people's....:)

Queries introspective examination and assessment, that only the self aware entity ponders continually and tortuously without end, as to the true meaning of.....:$

Mine is a famous, well famous if your into WWII stuff from general Patton. He had a lot of great quotes but I got some humor out of that one. Here is another one of his quotes that I live by when I work so I dont start to micromanage.

***Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

I don't quite remember where mine came from, but I use it to "sig" any online stuff.

I think it's commical and it definately suits me as I am deeply spiritual yet far from religious. I think kind actions and attitude, aimed at perpetuation of the good vibe all but destroy any need for rules and ritual.
