I was reviewing technical bulletins for my upcoming rigger course and I found this one. Doesn't it just make your hair stand on end???

*for those that might not be familiar with this, it was a problem with a certian batch of capewell pins from 2001.

That was from a bad batch of capewell pins, and there was a test that was done with the pins to determine if they were bad or not.

If you search the forum for "capewell", I'm sure you'll find a lot about it.

Yeah, it's scary. So's pictures of incorrectly closed reserve containers or closing pins set in a way that would make a pull hard or impossible.

Relax, you can die if you mess up, but it will probably not be by bullet.

I had my tested...it failed...replaced it...all good now.

Yeah, I know the bulletin, it's the CW-03 or whatever it was called, I don't have my binder in front of me. Regardless, it's pretty scary!
