Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.
For a long time I have had a knack for catching something falling before it hits the floor, like Kung Fu catching flies kind of thing. It was just an instinct. Well I just happened to be in just the right place and the chair was just a few inches from my chest. I was picking up a box off the table and tipped over a drinking glass that would have shattered had it hit the floor. I managed to catch it despite jabbing myself on the chair. I may only have cracked it at first, then finished the job today catching my little girl in another swift motion. That would explain the sudden intensity in pain.
Pain meds are a joke. One pill and I don't feel any better. I'm just gonna drink a tall glass of rum and sprite and get a bit of a buzz then go to bed. It's one I've never seen before, some fat brown pill.
Anyway, thanks for the well wishes...
