hobie331 0 #80 May 4, 2007 Have to watch the original Miriacle on 34th Street at least threee times every December. Dazed and Confused. OK, it's not a classic, but if you graduated from high school in the mid 70's you have to watch just so you can pick yourself out, and, all your friends from then. It's a gift, I don't try to explain it.
tbrown 26 #81 May 4, 2007 "The Hustler", with Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason, George C. Scott, and Piper Laurie. That long night of shooting pool, where Minnesota Fats wears down Eddy Felson until he just collapses on the poolroom floor is a real masterpiece. A very elegant film. Shows what can be done with black & white too. Your humble servant.....Professor Gravity !
lekstrom10k 0 #82 May 5, 2007 Will you accept a classic to-be. "The Christmas Story". The BB-gin was made in Plymouth MI. I bought mine at the factory in 1955. I havent nailed down the year it is supposed to be but I am guessing 1938 or 39. There are no TV,s but nothing about the pending WW11 coming up. Saving scrap metal and such. I saw something about it being in the Cleveland area. I can still watch it a few times every X-Mas

kallend 1,853 #91 May 5, 2007 "The Ladykillers" (original 1950's version with Alec Guinness and Peter Sellers, not the rubbish version with Tom Hanks). I like "Where Eagles Dare" too....
