I had faith that you would "do the right thing" and that you were just wondering, in the back of your mind, "what if"? Nothing wrong with daydreams like that.... especially when it seems to be really happening.

It just frustrating now that you have to go through so much effort to give them the money back. [:/]

There's the key. You make the effort.

The effort is notifying them of the mistake. Once. Get some sort of proof you called, such as an issue tracking number or persons name.

Leave the money in the account for at least 90 days, if they haven't straightened it put or contacted you by then, it's probably forgotten and do whatever you want with it.

If they come after it after 90 days, show them the proof that you reported the issue to them. If you spent the money, work out some sort of no interest payment plan with them.
Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting
If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh.
