selbbub78 0 #27 November 27, 2007 Talkeetna would be AN AWESOME place... true... But it's out in the middle of nowhere, about 1.5 hours from Anchorage to get there. I'll pass this information along. A.S.S. (alaska sky sports) is just restarting up here in alaska, well did this past year, and we had a 206, and a TWIN Bo (so much fun, we launched a 9 way out of that thing...that was crazy)... Next year our planes will probably be the same, but we had some issues with land areas, and runway strips, so our DZ where we currently have it, does NOT have the ability to put up lots of people for camping and stuff. And by the way... Alaska DOES have more airports than roads in the state, and it's incredibly cheap to learn how to fly up here since everyone does it!
