Make a cardboard template of the mirror's shape. Take it to a glass shop and have them cut you out a new mirror. Buy a tube of mirror glue. I have an old tube of it, if you want to drop by. I don't remember if I bought it at the glass store or the auto parts store, however. Anyway, glue the new mirror onto the old frame. Worked on our minivan.B|

If you'd been using that mirror for a proper merge, you'd know who hit you.:P

That is true - and you don't go to the "Recycling" center, you go to the glass compacy, they will cut you a new mirror and you "glue" it in with RTV. (What the hell is "RTV"? What I mean is silicon.)

What I would have suggested.

Two things, though:

1- "Mirror mastic" is used to attach mirrors, not silicone (which can attack the backing).

2- RTV means Room Temperature Volcanizing. That means it cures at room temp as opposed to being baked.

More useless information from your friendly Mopar guy, motor head, jack of all trades (spent 3 years in commercial window & door fabrication & installations)!
