kallend 1,646 #28 September 28, 2008 Quote wow what a cool car... I'm impressed by the way the front wheels extend sooo far forward of the engine area... how does it handle...? Like you'd expect a 60 year old car to handle. Quote soory to hear of any damage to such a nice looking machine.. Best to keep this one stored,,,, or in the active mode or DRIVING..... It's a "driver". Quote rather than to EVER park it,,, anywhere out in public...... Well, sometimes you have to park.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one. stitch 0 #30 September 28, 2008 Quote So this moron drove his truck into the side of my (parked) antique MG this morning. He probably did the world a favor and should receive a handsome reward. Between the car's tractor engine ( Yes, the engines were originally used in farm tractors ) and the Lucas electrical system, the car belongs in a museum not on the road, With that being said and judging from the stated damage, I would surmise you were parked on the corner. How many other cars did this mad man hit? Was there yellow paint on the curb or a fire hydrant close to where your car was parked ? birdlike 0 #32 September 29, 2008 If I were him, I wouldn't state ANY details in public. His insurance company may just have to duke it out with the other guy's. What's to be gained by spitting out details that have even a 1% chance of hurting his case?Spirits fly on dangerous missions Imaginations on fire

NoShitThereIWas 0 #34 September 29, 2008 Dang John, I didn't actually click on the clicky to see the car until just now. That is one stylin piece o machinery!!! I can totally see you cruisin in that MG Mobile. My Mom used to have an MG back in the late 70s. Her's was white. I know she loved it but I think it had problems all the time. Hers was certainly not classic like yours though! Do you have to take it somewhere special to get it fixed?Roy Bacon: "Elvises, light your fires." Sting: "Be yourself no matter what they say." JohnMitchell 14 #35 September 29, 2008 My sincere condolences for your car. She's a beauty. I'm sure you can get her back together. I owned a Spitfire for years, not quite as classic, but British in all aspects. Probably my favorite car ever.

normiss 622 #39 September 29, 2008 not to mention parking a car like that anywhere out of arm's reach, much less line of sight! I've had custom bikes and muscle cars and although not the same value, you can't let those things out of sight EVER!
