galvar2439 0 #1 December 3, 2008 My nieghbor waqs 89 years old, a ww2 vet and a really nice guy. He has 2 daughters who saw him sometimes on holidays. I would help him out with his house and things but he was independent to the end. He was shoveling his snow and died. When i got home there he was in his driveway. Sad end to one of this countries World War 2 combat vets. Rest in peace Bob.So i just broke up with this woman who wasn't even my girlfriend! labrys 0 #7 December 3, 2008 Maybe not a sad end. He was independent and had a long life, right? A long time ago I had a neighbor in her 90's who was very independent. She mowed her lawn with a mechanical push mower and gathered leaves in the fall in a small basket, carrying them to the curb a basket at a time. I offered to help her a few times and she rebuffed me. I tried to help on the side and when she noticed she complained. One morning after a huge snow storm I went to open my front door to go to work and met some resistance. I thought it was just the snow and I gave the door a big shove but it wasn't snow, it was Lilly. She'd frozen to death on my porch. I sat out there in the snow with her for a while before I called the police. I wondered if she'd come to my house for help or because she was confused. I decided it didn't matter. I would have helped her if I could have. I could not have helped her as it was.Owned by Remi #?

That must have been difficult, but you're right. You did what you could for her.~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action. Try thinking outside of the box a little bit (or maybe just try THINKING) and you won't be so quick to throw red flags. Pick it up. Put it in your pocket, and walk away.
