Spizzzarko 0 #2 August 3, 2005 Free fly friendly? Do you even know what that means? It seeams as if it's one of those terms that everyone is throwing around for buying and selling gear. The Jav is "Plenty Free Fly Friendly" and is an excellent rig. It's just going to come down to how much money you want to spend, on what rig you want. I would say that most gear being sold today is "Flee Fry Fliendry".
tcnelson 1 #3 August 3, 2005 never packed or flown a mirage but, my odyssey is and has been a great rig. boc is fine in all orientations and it fits comfortably while being snug. don't measure yourself...have someone measure you when the time comes. nicknitro71 0 #4 August 3, 2005 If you want a Mirage get a Vector III If you want a Jav get a Wings Flame away Memento Audere Semper
Spizzzarko 0 #5 August 3, 2005 It's allready started. Everyone will tell you what to get, as they all have their own personal preferences. If there was a perfect container made, then everyone would be jumping it. All the shit out there is essentially the same.
Samurai136 0 #6 August 3, 2005 Both are free fly friendly. Of the two containers, I consider the Javelin to be more rigger friendly.Ken"Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken
sunshine 2 #7 August 3, 2005 I used to hate javelin until i jumped an Odyssey last weekend. It is by far the most comfortable rig ever. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
pela 0 #8 August 4, 2005 I have chance to jump on bought rigs (and only those two). Bought are very good, I think that now most of rigs are very similar. In my opinion Odyssey is slightly more comfortable, and if I'm right is more expensive, and waiting time is longer. I own mirage 3 and I'm very happy with that rig, but my next will be odyssey.adrenaline
matthewcline 0 #9 August 4, 2005 I demo'd both rigs and went with a Wings myself.I couldn't be happier (well maybe if I had 2!) MattAn Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
pre7117 0 #10 August 5, 2005 I got a lot of different opinions on what rig to get when I bought one. Get what feels good and comfortable on you. Try jumping each oneHELLFISH 429 POPS 11113
masterrig 1 #11 August 5, 2005 I think, you'll find a wide variety of various harness-containers at your DZ. Ask to try different rigs on and see how they feel to you. Get with riggers and ask them the various aspects of different gear. If, you can jump some of them, do it. Don't be talked into something you aren't going to like. It's your money. Shop around. Read what the manufacturer's have on their web pages. JMO. Chuck
