Free fly friendly? Do you even know what that means? It seeams as if it's one of those terms that everyone is throwing around for buying and selling gear. The Jav is "Plenty Free Fly Friendly" and is an excellent rig. It's just going to come down to how much money you want to spend, on what rig you want. I would say that most gear being sold today is "Flee Fry Fliendry".

never packed or flown a mirage but, my odyssey is and has been a great rig. boc is fine in all orientations and it fits comfortably while being snug. don't measure yourself...have someone measure you when the time comes. ;)

I have chance to jump on bought rigs (and only those two). Bought are very good, I think that now most of rigs are very similar.
In my opinion Odyssey is slightly more comfortable, and if I'm right is more expensive, and waiting time is longer. I own mirage 3 and I'm very happy with that rigB|, but my next will be odyssey.;)

I think, you'll find a wide variety of various harness-containers at your DZ. Ask to try different rigs on and see how they feel to you. Get with riggers and ask them the various aspects of different gear. If, you can jump some of them, do it. Don't be talked into something you aren't going to like. It's your money. Shop around. Read what the manufacturer's have on their web pages. JMO.
