Haven't worn it in 15 years...~ anybody need a pair of 20 year old size 12 inflatable liner ski boots? 'like new'! ~ How about an altimeter from a B25? - it was in a box with a 20 year old 'second chance' bulletproof vest & 4 smoke brackets...I can just imagine some FBI Profiler sifting through my stuff & saying 'Ummmm we may have a problem here' Especially when he finds the 727 manual, and the Seattle sectional charts circa 1971... It's right next to the cut end of the static-line I used it on. -the 'other' one I used @ Elsinore a few years later on a square reserve line-over is lost someplace 100 yards from the lake.I hand made a super cool 'aerospace model' while bored at work one night 20 some years ago...it's a special top-secret alloy that was used in the directional thrust panels on a Pratt & Whitney prototype engine ~ the metal actually gets stronger when heated to operating temps, really tough stuff to work with as the feeds & speeds have to remain super slow when machining. Waterjet cut to the exact profile size of a Jack the Ripper, CNC machined cut-outs for weight, chemically milled graphics with my name & D# inlayed to the handle...the chemical milling BTW also made the 'blade' business end, scalpel sharp and that material holds an edge like nothing I've ever seen before.
