riggerrob 558 #1 January 21, 2015 Do any of you like to play on the slack lines favored by rock climbers? How much do they help improve your balance? ... muscle tone? ... strength? ... flexibility? I believe Gibbon is the leading manufacturer in North America.

TriGirl 268 #4 January 22, 2015 It's currently a favorite "weather hold" activity at ZHills. The jumpers there who are really skilled are also very nice about helping others to learn how. More, it is a good meditation. concentration, being calm instead of tense. I'm not en expert. I started in 2001, I could walk a 40' high line in that other life and the best lowline I can walk now is 120'. I have not walked a successful high line in almost 10 years. Gibbon lines are a good start. VERY simple and easy to rig. I don't like the 2" flat that they send with their kits. 1" lines are easier IMO. You can build yourself a 60' primitive line kit for about $50 at REI or climbing store. Almost nobody walks on nylon anymore however.
stayhigh 2 #6 January 23, 2015 You set one up at the park and there is always these assholes that will come up to you to mind your business. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXycwkc8BG0 fun nazis. Got sick of dealing with them. Good luck, hopefully no one comes to bother you, or have patience and deal with it like the guy above. That was my experience with slackline. However it was fun at the dz, until the dzo said no slackline since it wasn't covered with his waiver.Bernie Sanders for President 2016
