Fantastic small DZ with the safety of a big one.

Tsunami Skydivers Inc. Rated 5 by: shattenjager on 2014-02-23

Pros: Amazing view, fast plane, staff, vibes
Cons: small packing area, not open the whole week( I wish!!)

First time, welcomed as a local! Staff is very nice, DZO rocks, the plane is a rocket that takes you at 13 k in no time, they have a really good packer and the view is just amazing. Landing area is pretty big, with a constant wind from West. Everybody is super nice, jumpers and staff.Check this place out, I can't wait to go back again.

Pros: A real nice DZO? Youre kidding!
Cons: Would like a place to crash for the weekend

Well this dropzone just reminds me of home! Puerto Rico! The view here is really something else! The PAC is FAST and comfy (F#ck otters!). The best thing here is the vibe from both the jumpers and believe it or not... wait for it... the DZO as well! Nothing but nice, fun people to jump with that really make you realize how much you frikin love skydiving!

Excellent DZ in great city. Incredible views and skydiving!

Tsunami Skydivers Inc. Rated 5 by: Trafficdiver on 2013-04-23

Pros: The views, plane, location and people
Cons: None if you live there.

Tsunami Skydivers is a mid-sized drop zone located so close to the Pacific Ocean that you can look down and see surfers on the climb to altitude while watching the sun dipping into the ocean.

Need anymore reason than that? Well, here you go.

Free coaching with a cool staff that's happy to have you and jump with you, and enough tandems coming through to keep the plane rolling. There's also a strong set of fun jumpers, both belly and freeflyers.

The PAC 750 is a rocket ship that gets you to 13K in 10 minutes.

Now, here's the difference between Tsunami and most other good DZ's I've been to, the town. Oceanside is awesome! It has excellent restaurants, beaches and, most importantly, it's own brewery!!! Just ask the DZO to hook you up with the good places in town and you are set!

No showers or camping facilities, but the motel we stayed in was inexpensive and close.

The Best Dropzone Ever

Tsunami Skydivers Inc. Rated 5 by: socalflight on 2012-09-29

Pros: The plane, location, consistent wind direction, people, vibe
Cons: none

The plane is fast. The air is smooth. The winds are always 5-8 outta the west, all day. C-license only so a predictable pattern. Beautiful views of the pacific and Catalina from the air. Never too hot or too cold. DZO will send the PAC with 6!! BBQ every weekend, free of charge (and its good!). Good jumps, good people. A small DZ vibe with a big DZ plane!
