to echo the others, I love my G3's - have three of them - never had an issue. Just once I'd like to be called "sir", without someone adding "you're inciting a riot".

I agree, gear maintenence should be a priority for every jumper. About a year ago, while inspecting my own gear I found that a small burr in the grommet on my left side riser (RSL side) was abraiding the loop. A situation that could've led to a malfunction similar to the one the OP described. That set of risers were grounded. Like a previous poster said, just keep looking and have some patience. I also happen to be 6'0 and 180, it took me about 2 months before I found something. The wait was well worth it. Congrats (may the weather gods be with you) and welcome to the sport! Just once I'd like to be called "sir", without someone adding "you're inciting a riot". -

And a huge thanks to all of the instructors for thier patience and skill. As Bunky said.....everything was first rate! Hope to see you all again soon and thief some more knowledge. Watch out for the peanut butter! Spike Just once I'd like to be called "sir", without someone adding "you're inciting a riot". -

Just caught the shot of jumpers under canopy, Good Job guys. Just once I'd like to be called "sir", without someone adding "you're inciting a riot". -
Not really a weird skydiving dream...but you know that dream where you feel like you're falling and it wakes you up? I used to get those all the time. I haven't had that one since I started skydiving. Always thought that was kind of odd. Just once I'd like to be called "sir", without someone adding "you're inciting a riot".

Nope, don't mind moderate winds, it's the gusts I don't like. And as was said above, tandems grounded? Scary! Just once I'd like to be called "sir", without someone adding "you're inciting a riot".

He just barely missed the culvert, was very close though. Just once I'd like to be called "sir", without someone adding "you're inciting a riot".

I am sure that Mustaine & Ellefson jumped, but I believe that the entire band did one (Mustaine made a few). Also, I heard that even Riki Rachman (sp?) did a tandem. (edited to add) - There is footage of one of Mustaine's jumps on the Arsenal Of Megadeth DVD Just once I'd like to be called "sir", without someone adding "you're inciting a riot".

Sparky, would you care to share some of those mistakes with us? I'm sure there are those of us that would like to avoid them.

The Ranch was my third DZ, and I can't say how pleased I was with the friendliness of the bunch. These folks have tons of info and are always ready to share it, even with a newbie such as myself. Even though there is a DZ twenty minutes from me, I'd rather drive the two hours to the Ranch!
