  1. In most cases, I want to try to hear the YEAHs!
  2. I use the same method, but keep the PC on the floor throughout. Couldn't see the need to pick up everything twice if I planned the placement correctly. Z-Flock 8 Discotec Rodriguez Too bad weapons grade stupidity doesn't lead to sterility.
  3. You might want to look at doing a couple of demo jumps on a size between. I rented a main that barely fit my container until I felt ready to try my smaller main. Once you get the new main, try doing a 13,500 hop & pop for more experience before your first landing (it can be loads of fun too!). 4. Sunpath only charges $30 per side... Z-Flock 8 Discotec Rodriguez Too bad weapons grade stupidity doesn't lead to sterility.
  5. Have you attended one in the past? I was looking for something to do next year as well... Z-Flock 8 Discotec Rodriguez Too bad weapons grade stupidity doesn't lead to sterility.
  6. It's scary that you even did the numbers Z-Flock 8 Discotec Rodriguez Too bad weapons grade stupidity doesn't lead to sterility.
  7. I've been really happy with my Braun (one of the "self cleaning"), but I can't find any replacement parts like a new screen Z-Flock 8 Discotec Rodriguez Too bad weapons grade stupidity doesn't lead to sterility.
  8. There have been several incidents where knowing the loading might be informative...not that the information doesn't come out eventually, but it is always a point of discussion. Z-Flock 8 Discotec Rodriguez Too bad weapons grade stupidity doesn't lead to sterility.
  9. You made me drag out my logbook-jump #68 for me, but I had a lot of great "coaching" from Tony H and the others at Z-Hills. It was about another 20 before I'd call it shooting video of anyone!
  10. I've flown a Stiletto 150 for about 45 jumps (before downsizing to a Samurai 136) and it was a great "teacher" for remaining still in the seat during the snivel. Once you get a better feel for the steering by weight shifts, you can pretty well correct most twists as they are beginning. Also, the Stiletto does have a nice recovery arc and is great for getting back from a long spot. Just my 2 cents.
  11. I'll be praying for you As far as advice: if you can, wait for a load with a definite wind direction (6-8 mph) it may help, but remember to check for any change once under canopy. Also, my wife and I visited Deland, FL for Scott Miller’s canopy control instruction when we had about 35-40 jumps and it was some of the best money we ever spent. We have progressed much faster than we ever could have without it. I'd bet there is someone (knowledgeable) in your area willing to give you instruction/coaching for a very reasonable rate. If not, you might try talking to any of the CreW pilots on the DZ—ask one of them to watch (or maybe even video, if possible) your landing(s) and offer some advice. There is some comfort in knowing someone is watching and waiting to help you get to the next level…good luck! Z-Flock 8 Discotec Rodriguez Too bad weapons grade stupidity doesn't lead to sterility.
