  1. Agreed re challenging an OoP-less than a 50% success rate is the norm. Not so much on getting them in the first place. Most judges I have argued in front of consistently err on the side of granting the OoP, lest their name be splashed on the Morning News after someone kills the party previously denied an OoP...

  7. Aaand, as others have said here, Communism and Socialism remove any incentive to produce, as the State takes any benefit for working harder than your neighbor. It's insulting to pay a Doctor the same as a Fry Cook. What is the incentive to bust one's hump to become a Doctor if you're not going to earn more than some schmuck with the intelligence of a gerbil who has done nothing to better himself? Marx and his ilk failed to understand the most basic concepts of human nature...

  9. I work in Domestic Relations Law (Divorce, Custody, etc.). An OoP will only work if the Defendant respects the rule of law, and does not have homicidal intent. It truly is only a piece of paper, a document that only keeps someone with something to lose in check. If you know how to use it, a gun keeps you safer...
