  1. If you want soft openings, I would go with a Katana. They open like butter on every jump. The only downside is that it's not a great work canopy IMO if you have long spots exiting with tandems or students.
  2. Anyone know of any beginner angle camps happening this spring or summer in the US?
  3. What kind of Talon was it? I have a 96 Talon II that is an awesome freefly rig. I never had a problem sit flying or head down with it.
  4. I saw this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoZdxbXXnfo where he does a heli. I've never seen or heard about this before so I am wondering what is going on and how it is induced. Is this something any canopy can do or does it have to be highly loaded?
  5. Take up a pullup cord and practice transferring it from one hand to the other.
  6. It's a hipster kind of thing here in Kansas. I was on a 'Critical Mass' ride where around 25 people out of roughly 100 had fixies. It looks much harder than multi geared bikes but to each their own.
  7. Joe Satriani. The entire song is a guitar solo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4fPv450OYM
  8. "Was your father a meat thief? Cause it looks like someone done stole too big ol' hams and stuck them in your back pockets"
  9. I jumped an analog for 200 jumps before I got my N3 and I don't think I'll ever go back to an analog (except as a chest mount). My digital has a battery meter so I know when the charge is getting low and I can always plug it into a computer when it needs a recharge.
  10. Thanks for the info. Can someone refer me to a rigger that can do this modification?
  11. I have a 170 Cobalt that I love but it has opened fast a few times. I was thinking about getting the H-mod but I was wondering if a necessary wingload is required since it closes off some of the nose. I am loading my Cobalt at 1.2
  12. On cloudy days, I find myself searching the sky for holes
  13. I would do that but then I would have to sort through copyright-free photos and ask the author for permission. I figured that someone here has to have some pictures of a house or mountain or something that I can use.
  14. I'm writing a paper for school and just need 3 pictures that you took with the name of the locations and your permission to cite you. The pictures don't have to be skydiving related. Anything will work. Thanks
  15. I was at a boogie this past weekend and I saw a video of a couple of jumpers tracking relative to each other. One of the jumpers then did half a flip and continued to track feet first while keeping relative to the jumper who's tracking normal. Does anyone have any tips on how to do this? If you know some links to some video, that would help out.
  16. Next to free beer, I will have to go with Killians Irish Red
