  1. My Falcon 265 Surely this is why I'm alive. I jump a Falcon 265. When I got the License "D", throwing out at 2,000 was for me. Wuffos on the ground used to say: "Why in the Hell does he do it that way?" But for me I had little fear, I had great confidence in my gear. This is why I'm still alive, my trusty dusty 265. I'm not small, and i'm not made of lard, but that damn falcon has always opened quite hard. As time past the back pain became chronic, I don't mean to sound sardonic, So I placed a call to Precision Dynamic and spoke to Galloway George the chief parachute mechanic. He said son Let me tell you someti'n, didn't you knowed? Than Falcon chute is Reserve TSO'D! A true story!
  2. KrKarl, just a thought but it if (& And believe me, this is a BIG if" I had a Stiletto, I would have an RSL until I could get a SkyHook.
  3. Thankyou for starting such a great thread.
  4. In the late nineties, one of the Golden Knights Demo teams came to town. Among them was Trevor McCarthy, an 8-way champion. He organized the last load of the day. It was a pleasure jumping with him.
  5. Excellent forum topic Richard. For years I thought about getting a Tiger suspended under an open (Ram AIR parachute) tat. Never got around to it. Someone told me that this image was on the triple nickel Airborne unit. I couldn't get the tat since I wasn't in that unit. That's how I felt about it. Anywhoo, I saw a tat of a Ram parachute on a guy's upper arm at a Mullin's Boogie. Now that one was alright but it looked like the colors would fade out eventually.
  6. Right on NW Flyer! Those site pics are very nice, very appealing. Makes me want to go there rt now and make a few jumps!
  7. Good Job gentlemen! I enjoyed watching the video.
  8. Check with GoldCoast Skydivers who now operate near Hattiesburg Mississippi.
  9. Hello KatieBeth. Looks like you picked a very cost effective dropzone. You should be able to rack up alot of jumps in a short amount of time. Now get out there and do it! Have fun and be safe.

  13. If you lived in another country, you would be allowed to flog her. Seriously, Keep the marriage alive and listen to your boo. Harry
  14. Congrats Phosphorus! I'm sure that you are going to have a bright future. Harry
  15. You mean that you actually tell her about it when you take off for the DZ?
  16. Should have got a lifetime membership years ago as suggested by a friend. I would have saved alot of money.
  17. Yeah, Chris is right. Please ask the instructor.
  18. Hey Skydiver 1013, Don't worry, it'll all come back and remember, If you close your eyes, they're all night jumps.
  19. Ask your instructor. I think that they say you should find the stall point while you are under canopy at a safe altitude. Then you will know how far you can go with it on final. Skymaster is a good canopy, ask the DZ if they want to sell it to someone. Thanks, Harry
  20. I started packing the main canopy from the second jump but with supervision and assistance. It didn't take long after that to pack on my own, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared of my own pack jobs for awhile. Pretty soon you realize that this thing can't wait to open and your confidence in your gear grows and the fear disappears.
