You should take into consideration the Safire2 as well.. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

Which wingsuit IS actually best for flight time?
Sangi replied to Jaymyster's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There will be better wingsuits made by the time you're ready to switch from your "beginner" suit to your "expert Stealth2" suit.. So no point buying two at the same time. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean -
That would indeed say something if we would see pictures, videos, articles to support these claims.. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

Which wingsuit IS actually best for flight time?

Minimum of 75 WINGSUIT JUMPS prior to jumping a Stealth2, not regular jumps. Stealth2 and X-BIRD would probably be the 2 suits with the longest flight time (but that doesn't necessarily equate to biggest distance covered). All the wingsuit gurus will tell you more anyway, I'm just saying what I have learned so far.. But anyway, focus on regular skydiving for now and see at least if you wanna do it at all.. It will take shit loads of time, money and preparation to jump a wingsuit and it won't come fast (unless you wanna fuck up and die).. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." I'm surprised I see very little of bent legs there "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

God, I should have expected something like this... Yes, yes I understand it's difficult to fly this stuff properly and professionaly... But I'm not talking about that.. All I'm saying is that complex technology will be the future of flying, not simplistic non powered single material with some strings.. Every non powered flying machine relies on weather to keep it flying.. For true flight (inside and beyond Earth's atmosphere) you'll need something more than that.. Think something like the ironman suit.. At least this thing seems plausible in the more distant future.. For now I will keep to my opinion that nylon flight is just "fun and games" and not true progression in serious flight.. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

Poll: Total jump numbers and the type of canopy you fly
Sangi replied to listo's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Oh come on, who cares? That's just pointless bitchin around "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean -
Imho the future of true flight is in complex technology, not some nylon.. What we're doing now here is honestly just horsing around with wingsuits and parachutes.. Jets, anti gravity devices, that's how it's prolly gonna be.. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

I'd say pick an 69 JVX (full RDS) with an X-BIRD. You won't regret it. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

Well if your back needs some good care, then as people said, CF2 is the best choice. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

I'm surprised that at these many jumps you're not flying an xbrace "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

From what I learned in Denmark you have to have minimum of 150 jumps and then you jump out with a qualified videoman who will test your abilities of handling a camera and will determine if you passed to jump one or not. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

You're no longer a skydiver when you post too much random worthless crap on the bonfire. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

Well I see you talk a lot about this, seems you're passionate and want it to happen, so how about you go out and try to achieve this mhm? "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

So basically what you're saying you just want to create a mini hang glider / paraglider with a wingsuit shape.. Size matters, I doub't you can make a small wingsuit with a harness that would efficiently glide (be able to get altitude and maintain it) the same as a big hang glider or paraglider.. We are not strong enough to hold big wings.. There are so many things that prohibit us from flying like birds... Let's be realistic, mostly likely in the future we're going to be flying with something like Yves Rossi has, but not like birds, super slowly gliding and landing in mega sized wingsuits.. Don't lose a chance to look cool with a huge PD logo, screw the container! Who needs it anyway? Just hold onto the lines of the canopy and jump it, looks is everything! "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
