I'm sure that at 200 jumps your canopy skills were spotless, not to mention HP landings... "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean -

Well it's a bit of an over exaggeration of all the things mentioned, but you get the point.. Not the most ideal conditions.. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean -
Nah, it's better "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

Wish I had "mine".. Been like almost half a year and still waiting for my custom Safire2 "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean -
Dunno why, prolly the editing, but the footage feels like it's from the 90's or something "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

I like my GoPro HD, easy to use, hassle free camera. Saves me money on a special cam helmets, mounts, boxes, hypeyes etc... Yeh it's snaggy (and it's been discussed to death here) and not the most optimal shape for this kind of sport, but it's still good enough. Basically it fulfills all my amateur needs (as it does for crap loads of other peeps) and something like a sony would be an overkill for me tbh.. Though personally I don't see a point in an LCD for myself.. I'm in no hurry to view the footage after the jumps and if I I am I just bring a USB cable and connect to any PC to view it.. I did some of my AFF jumps from a MI-8 heli, at least that heli was still moving forward a bit during exits so I didn't get to feel that gut wrenching.. Another key thing when lookin where to land after a balloon jump is watching out for the power lines, you won't be able to see the power lines themselves from altitude, but what you have to look for are the power line towers / poles. Yes it does feel like your guts are in your mouth and that's why it's so awesome, something that you can practically never get from a regular aircraft exit.. There's no point in worrying about the exit itself (you can tumble like a dead ragdoll and you'll be fine once you hit terminal and can get the control of your body), since you can't hit anything (it's not a BASE jump), it's the landing you have to worry about because it will be off the DZ.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLJeRIcvNvw It was my second dead air exit and one of my best ever jumps, will do it again no doubt

Another one, POV "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

I do, tighten them up all the time in the plane, but still the laces sometimes tend to get loose... "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

Do you have any videos of your Safire2 swoops?
-
I hear this very often. Can you please elaborate how short the recovery arc? Maybe some example, comparison (like to that of a sabre2). I'm really interested. "Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean

Precision Aerodynamics Fusion. Details?
Sangi replied to Sangi's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Hey, Is there anyone here who could tell me more about Precision Aerodynamics Fusion canopy? How's it in comparison with Safire2 / Sabre2? Recovery arc? Openings? Ease of use of fronts? Toggle turns (mild, more aggressive?)? Harness input? Flare? Thanks -
hehe, thanks for the kind words
