  1. As it was designed, being a reserve 'n all. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  2. Looks and sounds like a tension knot to me. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  3. Was the red skyhook lanyard hand tacked to the bridle like the manual says to do? In maggyrider's screen grab, it sure doesn't look like it is. It is there to prevent the lanyard from slipping off the skyhook during a cutaway. That would explain the skyhook activation followed by a PC deployment. "Are you coming to the party? 4. In Kansas if we limited to 15 or 20 knots we'd rarely ever skydive I try to stand down around 25 knots or a spread about 10. But there are so many days where it dances around the limit all day. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  5. I was told they were offset to put more tension on the closing loop once the pin is in. That way it is easier to close yet still takes force to open. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  6. Care to elaborate more on this? My fault, I mistyped and now cannot edit it. I meant: But to say a parachute's relative airspeed in no wind and a 15kt steady wind are NOT equal is incorrect. Meaning they are equal. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  7. Just because you don't believe the facts doesn't make them anything less than facts. If you prefer to get a degree and do my job for me then go ahead. But I know how to collect flight test data, and I know how to analyze it. I have a feeling you have zero experience in both. Wind is 100% calculable on an airplane and we do it every flight. It just goes to show you really know nothing about this subject. Speaking of, care to tell us why you disagree with me and people who devote their lives to understanding physics? Proof or facts? Or just because it doesn't make sense to you? "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  8. I think his point is that laws of physics haven't changed since 2003. Everyone agrees gusts disturb flight characteristics. But to say a parachute's relative airspeed in no wind and a 15kt steady wind are equal is incorrect. If parachutes are affected by wind speed, then airplanes must be also. Every day I look at aircraft performance data and I can assure you that an airplane climbing in nil wind has an identical climb rate to an airplane climbing in a steady 15kt wind. Steady wind simply does not change that. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  9. which is the battle cry for all liberals. Newsflash: Political group references current affairs for fundraising purposes. Other news: Bear in woods, shits. You sir are a comic. Got me laughing out loud over here. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  10. Try demoing a Storm, that way you can make your own observations about how it feels. While you're at it, try a Pilot too. Known for very soft consistent openings, great glide range, and nice strong flare. I think you'd like it too. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" 11. The ex-gf had an iComfort also and I liked it. The gel layer on top is designed to eliminate that heat discomfort from normal foam mattresses. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  12. What's scary is that those fat guys on the d-line can outsprint most high school and college competitive athletes. Talk about some momentum... "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52

Well, Helen of Troy did start an uproar. And if she really looked anything like Diane Kruger I dont blame em! "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  14. Maybe it was an inside job to get funding for a better airport. They are currently building a brand new terminal to the west, and will be demolishing the current one. Maybe he dislikes the construction company who was hired to do the demolition? "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  15. No doubt this is true, but who did the shooter kill besides himself? I'm not sure what he was thinking. 540am? It's not like the airport is crawling with people at that time. And I don't think he planned on waiting to detonate because there's no way he's getting from the Hawker Beechcraft service center to the airport terminal without tower realizing something is up. Of course you can just take one look at the guy, conclude he's nuttier than a fruitcake, and write it off as a story of another idiot. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  16. http://www.kake.com/home/headlines/US-Attorney-FBI-to-hold-Wichita-briefing-on-national-security-arrest-235744221.html I'm surprised how little coverage this got. Even locally, I work on the airport and most of us didn't know anything for quite a while. It would have been worse than the Boston bombing yet all news channels are more focused on a kid who killed himself with a gun. Gotta remember that sick people are all around us. 17. Ah, so being educated on the subject at hand constitutes not having a life. I'm glad your ignorance is amusing to you. Yet according to your profile, you of all people should know to learn the facts before opening your mouth on something you know nothing about. Godspeed to anyone who pays you to save their ass in court
  18. Well...I watched the trial uncut beginning to end. And saw all the evidence and testimony. Inside information? No not at all. More information than you have? Apparently so. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  19. He's just another run-of-the-mill guy who watched the news and knows nothing about the actual case. Move along, move along. I like the "more than 100 rounds!!!" part. Even with a shotgun, 4 boxes of 25 shells isn't much. I have more than that laying around just for clay shooting. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" 20. It's always the same thing. He enters with some hate-filled monologue about how every conservative is a dip-shit retard and how he is somehow far superior to anyone who disagrees with his moronic belief system (ironic), then disappears with no reply anywhere else in the thread. 10 years old is being a little optimistic I would say. 21. I couldn't tell from the video but I'm sure it was a short field takeoff where they hold the brakes until engine power is fully increased. The news reporter said it was an empty airplane coming into Wichita to pick up parts, so there was no need to remove payload. They may have siphoned out some fuel but honestly it didn't take up much runway on takeoff. Winds here were 18G26kts and it's 34°F, both tremendously help field performance. 22. There is a live video feed over at www.kake.com Set to takeoff here pretty quick "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" Flying Hellfish #828 Dudist #52
  23. Jabara isn't normally considered a small airport at 6,101x100, but in comparison to the dreamliner it sure is. I know these guys aren't your normal run of the mill pilots, but McConnell AFB 19L is 12,000x150. You'd think they would notice the runway being half the size of their destination runway. But after listening to the ATC talk, they really don't seem like extremely experienced pilots, both in radio communication and preparation. I'm not sure why they need to ask McConnell tower what the identifier, frequencies, and coordinates of another airport are....that's what sectionals, A/FD, and modern avionics are there for. Having said that, last I heard they were planning a noon departure out of Jabara so I'm heading there now "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" 24. I spent my entire childhood in church and Catholic grade school and high school. I've checked it out more than enough by now. It does not pertain to my point at all...which is the Pope, whether you like him or not, has been a model for Christian belief lately; yet for some reason you have some obvious issues with him. By the way, I find it funny that you claim JW is a cult, yet the Pentecostals are often considered the same thing. Hell, any organized religion could fit that definition...including Catholicism and its over 1 billion believers. "Are you coming to the party? Oh I'm coming, but I won't be there!" 25. I'm sure it's a book written entirely on proven facts and isn't at all biased to the author's belief system It doesn't take much of a history lesson to see that your Christian denomination is exactly that....a denomination. It also doesn't take much of a religious background to see that calling the Pope "anti-Christian" or the "anti-Christ" as some other 'Christians' call him, is ignorant at best. You don't have to believe in his position or the church teachings, but I seriously doubt you are a better Christian model than that man is. You should also take some time to research how much time and effort he puts in to the unification of Christians no matter their denomination...and maybe try to follow in that example?
