  1. But it surely wasn't an f1-11 Thats your opinion. Navigators aren't cheap. If they were cheap. Then yeah! he might want to check into one. He may or may not like it. Now that I think about it he might be happier with silohette. Those are inexpensive hybrids I believe. **I'm the only one giving info that the original poster wants to hear. Why the hell else would you down size? Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  2. Yes you are right. I too have seen a few fairly competent people break bones. But with even bigger parachutes like 260's 280's and even in to the lower 300's. What happened was that they didn't think their jump through... Base jump that is. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  3. So why did you not land good? Maybe you need a new method of teaching? I've read that several times on here. Tell me where I can find this information from a reliable source, not just some joeblow internet moderator but a real and reliable source. You still probably couldn't convince me because it really is an opinion. I've seen people jump there old falcon 170's, Raven 1's, etc. etc. for a lot of jumps (100's upon 100's) and they can fly their canopy better then the sky gods with with zero permiability-cobalt 135's. To the original poster. Granted you try it out and seek guidence from your instructor. A PD 218 will do you good. Its an inexpensive way to start your skydiving career. After a few dozens of jumps you will likely get bored of it and could probably resell it for what you bought it for. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  4. Uuuh? yeah! you suck at flying canopies is why you broke your ankle. Any person with some competence can safely land a 220 regardless of experience, wingloading, and/or conditions. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  5. Who cares? Either don't have one or just build your own. I personally can just deal with the ratchet. I don't want an accidental release of my 2K camera and helmet. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  6. When I'm not wearing a camera helmet, I just use a standard frap hat. They're Cheap, comfortable, and pretty warm on the cold winter days. But in the summer I don't wear a helmet. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  7. Looks pretty good! I would get rid of that ghetto quick mount. Either use a flatlock or don't use one at all! Those goldmember are far to bulky! If you want a low profile setup, the flat lock is like half the size and just feels more secure. If you don't use one the camera sits flush with the helmet. Thats pretty nice too. It only takes me 10 seconds to unscrew the camera anyways plus its 3 less holes to drill. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  8. That is whats nice about jumpshack. The racers webbing was made specifically for the hardware. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  9. I would say nothing more than small corrections below 100ft How the hell are you supposed to turn on to final if no 90's lower than 500ft? USPA recomends you enter the down wind at 1000ft, and for the retards out there that means that you need to make 2 more 90's. If I recall the points for the pattern were 1000 for downwind. 500 for crosswind. and 300 for final. But these numbers may very well be wrong. Edit: I got the USPA BSR pic Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  10. I had 2 bag locks and a pilotchute in tow Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  11. I used to psycho pack my pilot 117 but I kept on having malfunctions. So I switched canopies. I kind of wish I didn't because I can't stand my landings up now. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  12. Nope you're wrong. The GLS XF is better. It has better openings, better dive, gets more speed, and has better lift. One of these days I'll try the blade though. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  13. I think there's two sides. For one if your having reserve rides left and right than a round reserve is not the best choice. But if your if you knocked uncouncious, 2 out, or while swooping I will take a round reserve anyday. I am not looking forward to when I have a reserve ride under my 18ft Sac Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
  14. I went with a vigil II because it packs up smaller. It makes it easier for riggers to pack a Vigil II into smaller containers. Don't hate me 'cause you aint me.
