RIGHT ON FROGGIE! Ha ha ha...me too! I was REALLY hoping to buy a new freefly suit since (I won't name the name of the suitmaker who makes my suits since he's a friend and don't want to give him a bad rep but:) the suitmaker wanted me to look figurely rather than look like a freeflyer. Needless to say, I want a freefly suit with a little more drag and not so tight around my waist, bust, butt, and thighs....HA HA HA. The girls call me Skydiver Barbie b/c that's exactly what my freefly suit looks like and I want one made BIGGER even though now I'll have to pay for it. I was just going for this! Not only have I put up with numerous smells on the ride to altitude but at our Halloween Boogie, in the CASA, a jumper who had partied a bit too hard the night before and was on the first load sitting next to me hurled ALL OVER me. I about hurled myself but managed to keep it in and luckily for me, the team I was practicing fast RW with didn't object to still jumping with me even though we had to get REALLY close to each other holding on to grips on exit. It was the WORST feeling wet and smelling riding up to altitude and then COOOOLLLD being wet after jumping out. Needless to say, I chucked the RW suit for the rest of the day and freeflyed on all the rest of my jumps that day after rinsing off in the shower. HA HA HA. The guy felt REALLY bad and I just laughed it off and told him it was okay. I actually felt bad for the poor guy even though he shouldn't have been on the first load that morning. I second this. Sebastian is by far my favorite place to jump next to my home Florida DZ that closed. I also have come to like Deland quite a bit but that's a little too far from Fr. Lauderdale. I'd definitely go to Sebastian and they have started doing beach jumps there regularly as well

awwwww, I can't believe I'm the only one who said "ride the strobe." Actually, it's the beacon. Whenever anyone was really toasted at our DZ parties, they'd have naked beacon rides and climb the beacon naked and ride the light around and around at the top. It was funny! I think you pose a good point here. I have lived in Florida my whole life and this is where I jump and the only state I've jumped in so maybe my awareness of all the drugs around the DZs (and unfortunately some, but not too many that I've noticed do so all night and then go jump first thing in the morning)is simply b/c of where I'm jumping. It doesn't bother me at all. It hurst sometimes to see what it does to those who I love and care about but it is their choice. As I said before, I stick to weed and beer and have never ventured beyond that. Not so much b/c I think it's wrong but b/c I know my personality and when I like something I want it all the time so for me, I feel like: why start? Lisa, You'll be happy to know that they are recognizing much more these days ADD in females. I volunteer for first grade SLD classes that have all sorts of learning disabilities, the most popular being ADD. There are quite a few girls that I teach that have been diagnosed with the disorder. I thought you'd be happy to hear that

I wish I had something positive to add however, from what I've noticed a LOT of skydivers are heavily into drugs as well. The most popular being X but quite a few others as well. Me personally, however, I stick to buds and suds (weed and beer for those of you who didn't pick up on that one

I put "in my bed" but my real answer wasn't on there. It sleeps on the floor BESIDE my bed so that if any robbers popped in it would be nice and close to me so that I could kick their ass before they ever had a chance to take it. I also sometimes keep it at my Dad's house since he lives near the DZ and has home owners insurance. Since I don't, I worry sometimes when I'm gone that if someone were to break in that it wouldn't be covered since we don't have insurance on our townhouse that we rent. If we are camping out at the DZ, it sleeps with us wherever we are whether it be in a tent, trailer, hotel, ext. I never leave it in my car. It would get hot and lonely and would be vulnerable. I wear a swim cap.....when I'm competition swimming;-). I have really long hair. I put it in a tight bun on the bottom of my neck so it rests just under my helmet and it always stays and never is tangly when I take it out. As for the GUYS....that's weird to me that most of you have short-haired guys at your DZs. Here in Florida, at the DZs I've jumped at: Deland, Daytona, and Sebastian, a LOT of guys have long hair, most below their shoulders even. I love longer hair on guys.
