  1. so awesome. can't wait to see the videos.
  2. Spot: You said: in reference to Simon saying that he had people tell him that wingsuit coach jump do not count to fulfill the requirement. But, then you later said, that you yourself do not qualify them and would not sign off on them. Why, then, do you doubt that Simon was told this by others? Second, why did you offer to talk to these people privately? What would you discuss? How much you agree with them on not counting wingsuit coach jumps?

What DZs have banned/restricted wingsuits? i plan to keep traveling around this winter and want to know what to avoid. Miami is the only one i know of.
  4. You can't go wrong with either Zhills or Elsinore. There's a bunkhouse at Elsinore that's super cheap (like $7/night I think?) and you can camp at either dz. Both are very friendly and you should have no problem finding people to hang out with. Zhills has a bar, which is a plus. Also, I wouldn't rule out Flock N Dock...I had less wingsuit jumps than you do at the last one, and I found it to be a great experience and learned a lot. I avoided the bigger and more challenging jumps, but there were people there willing to organize small groups to work on basic flying. You just have to use your judgement and know your limits.
  5. And what if its really an arctangent angle that only appeared to be a glide ratio while drunk?
  6. I saw it more as an article posted because it involved wingsuiting, diverting to redundant arguments that were more of a response to who posted rather than what was posted. And then, unicorns, big and small. No elephants, but who wouldn't be curious about unicorns? but back to the topic at hand...NO BLOOD FOR GLITTER! Omnia..... I am disappionted. As a true Horniculturist I KNOW what it means to grow AND harvest a 'corns horns. Let me tell you something. CORNS DONT BLEED!!!!!!!! If you "cut a bitch" aka slice a 'corn......You get sparkles, and sparkles mean POWER. I mean look at Obama http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/209726/we-will-name-him-sparkles That was not a coincidence, that was SPARKLE MOTION!!!! OH YEA! EXPLAIN THIS THEN!!!

  8. I'm glad you mentioned it first. I was just about to.... I attached a picture of a certain someone flying VERY dangerous and careless in a Unicorn-RW flock. There is a laundry list of mistakes: Too close proximity to 'corn horn, possibility of handles being caught/pulled, under the influence of alcohol, utilizing a skydiving rig while proxy flying, trying to dock on the 'corn horn...etc I could be wrong, but I doubt it. This was found, once I zoomed in and enhanced the original photo, which is also attached. Lets learn from her mistakes. I think its clear to everyone that this image was edited! Here's the real image.
  9. Perhaps you're substituting genuine talent with sparkles. I'm really sick of having to clean the glitter off my goggles every time after following flocks of your Sparkly followers.
  10. Clearly the First Unicorn will win, as the second one is made of paper, and even arguing that the first is a painting......Canvas owns paper. Jus saying. I know what a majestic unicorn looks like. I've owned 'Corns since late 2001, which are still grazing the skies I might add...so don't lecture me on the dichotomy of power and beauty. However, if you could send an email to the person responsible for the artistry of the origami Unicorn, I would be pleased. I never claimed to be an elitist, I'm still learning from these creatures everyday. I just feel that so many people want to get larger horned unicorns, before they are properly ready for such a task. $200 simply does not cut it. Given the pageantry and illustration of brawn on canvas, I will have to agree with both of you. However, that still doesn't answer how you're caring for these majestic beasts on $200. If you could post photos of your stable, maybe this could shed some light. I'm also currently working on a "Unicorn Boogie", complete with a sunset Unicorn RW flight through space and time. We here a Shorbicorns have been raising and processing 'corn meant for years. We have always been able to feed and stable our 'corns for much less than 200 dollars. As the only good part of the 'corn is the "actual" horn we must keep costs low to produce profit. see attached photos I am shocked, and appalled at how you operate Shorbicons. Conversational efforts are under way, at my business Unicorns Inc. Attached is a photo I took this morning, of me on my speckled unicorn (very rare). I am a wealthy business man, and would like to offer you a substantial sum, for the rights to Shorbicons and all of your magical steeds. Please consider this offer. Shouldn't your business be called CatIcorn Inc? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_nLedEe_5oHw/SnUfwd5qM4I/AAAAAAAAHo0/DAdwwDTSPWk/s1600/salty_1312-2+%28800px%29.jpg
  11. Clearly the First Unicorn will win, as the second one is made of paper, and even arguing that the first is a painting......Canvas owns paper. Jus saying. Canvas may win the bar brawl, but clearly Origami Unicorn has the better glide ratio. If you're looking to travel thru both space AND time, then clearly the 3D unicorn has the upper hand.
  12. That's a pretty elitist viewpoint. Not all unicorns have those long and dainty horns that require special attention that you seem to prefer. Look at these two examples and tell me which one is more wondrous? And which would win in a bar brawl? http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Hht2oeFmIMc/TWNx_oA8spI/AAAAAAAAACg/xsdTCvBzv_8/s400/unicorn_rainbow.jpg http://www.giladorigami.com/P_Unicorn_Montroll.JPG I think the answer is clear.
  13. spending $200 for a month to figure it out is worth it and the more cost effective route. Absolutely ridiculous, a Unicorn cannot survive off of $200. really? if you can't keep a unicorn alive for $200, maybe you shouldn't even be associating with these majestic beasts.
  14. You mean this one? http://vimeo.com/27498985
  15. One example of someone who was able to find a suit that fit him and was also able to sell it at a good price seems quite a stretch from the generalization that "owning and reselling works out to less than .50 per jump". It worked out for HIM to that. I looked at dz.com when i first started wingsuiting and did not find any used wingsuits that would work for me. For some people, buying used is the cheaper route for sure. For others, its not or is not even an option. Some others aren't sure they want to stick to wingsuiting and spending $200 for a month to figure it out is worth it and the more cost effective route.
  16. hahaha. This got me curious so I did a search on volcano boarding and found another top 5 list we share : http://www.islandcrisis.net/2011/08/worlds-weirdest-extreme-sports/ 5th weirdest extreme sport. And I thought I was normal? oh well, at least we got beat out by Extreme Ironing.
  17. I'm just confused what any of this has to do with why cracked.com thinks riding plywood down a volcano is manlier than wingsuiting?
  18. There was barely any wingsuiting at my dz going on then (2009) so there was no one to borrow suits from (plus, im barely 5'3" so the few suits around would not have fit). Luckily, that has changed this past season and there are plenty of wingsuiters and wingsuits, at least partially thanks to Wicked Wingsuits being there.
  19. I would have also been happy to rent a T for a month waiting for my own T to arrive. When you can't jump year round and the season's running out, a month is very much worth it.
  20. With peaches? I'm staying west coast this year. Ya'll have fun without me. haha, dammit, we were gonna bring fresh peaches this year! :)
  21. It was a fun event for sure! Congrats to all the winners!
