  1. You're right-- I wonder if I could direct deposit my paycheck at Skydive Elsinore? __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  2. Prepare to empty your bank account, my friend! YES, another addict... __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  3. You know me so well.... __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  4. Hey all-- just a question going out to all competiors--- I'm looking to hear how you guys deal with the pressures of competition-- to maintain calm, and yet have enough agro to keep going hard. I have certain things that work for me, and certain things I need to work on. I thought just hearing the various ways everyone reaches their peak competition performance (mentally and physically) would be valuable. Thanks! 5. Depends on the team.... I'm on a player-coach team, so we also have to pay the coaching fee, his slot, on top of all the other stuff-- jumps, video, packers, team room, Nationals, tunnel, etc. etc. It will add up very quickly-- I definitely choose not to keep close track of how much I spend on 4-way, because it's not like I won't spend it anyway. I make sure I have enough for my rent and bills-- and the rest is just 4-way gravy. Now, I don't budget very specifically, but I do budget such that I can't remember the last time I bought new clothes retail-- not counting my latest jumpsuit. I call myself a priority spender-- I'm cheap in many aspects of my whuffo life, so that I can be very frivolous in my skydiving life. Choose what you want, then just make it happen. __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  6. Started in September 1996--- 842 jumps to date, but about 550 of those are within the last year-- FINALLY I have a job that can afford the kind of habit I want!! __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  7. I met Roger last year at Nationals. Despite all the things I'm sure he had to do, he spent around 2 hours talking to my teammate and me, about various things, showing us around, etc.-- he definitely made a point to get to know as many as he could, and make us all feel welcome at Skydive Chicago. The world would be a better place with more people like Roger Nelson. Spread the love! Blue Skies, Roger-- thank you for everything!!! __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  8. I second everything Max just said! Sign up early in the Elsinore office-- it's going to be a great event!! Information every skydiver needs-- SEE YOU THERE.............. __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  9. Block 0 is most DEFinitely the Spinning Bagel Cat. The only thing I would recommend when attempting it, is some serious pressure to the center when releasing grips......... Oh, and also, don't release grips for at least 10 seconds, AT LEAST. It's like the belly flyers version of a tube.... MF AWESOME. Hilarity will ensue, guaranteed. __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  10. Random "I" could also be the Strata-Bow. This formation was stumbled upon by my team last year-- we were trying to build a Bow, but the tail was brainlocking his ass off and catting on one of the centers-- kind of like a Catacord, a bow, and/or a murphy flake, but not. This happened right before break off too, so we all gave him what-the-hell-are-you-doing looks as we turned to track, then rolled laughing when we got to the ground. Frickin' love 4-way..... __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html

  12. In skydiving and life-- you're hot if you tell yourself you're hot. Live the dream, baby. __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  13. This Saturday-- Easter 6-way Scrambles at Elsinore. Sure to be a great time, laid back competition. Don't worry if you're a low-timer-- teams are put together with a mix of new and experienced skydivers. All you have to do is show up Saturday morning, 9am, and teams are formed then. See you there!! (And starting Friday, $16 jumps all weekend-- I'll be LOing Sunday too, so hope to see you out!) Blue skies! 15. I clearly don't know how to edit posts properly. Such a DFU. Jesse, merci for removing my chest from the website... dudes have to earn that shit, or buy me a six-pack, either or. haha __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html

  17. That pic was indeed taken in NYC at a cool karaoke joint on 19th and Park Avenue South. Skydivers and whuffos united for a night of drunken singing debauchery-- Love Shack I think was my best number (duet with Baker). Anyway, my whuffo roommate at the time brought those shades, so obviously we had to do a full-on photo shoot. Everyone who was there that night has a picture with them on. Please see our friend Jesse attached... I think that will answer any other questions......... __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  18. Ok-- this has nothing to do with the thread, but I'm testing to see if my pic comes up under my name............. If so Stacy rocks!!! (If not, Stacy still rocks, and I'm a DFU.) __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  19. What're you tryin' to say? __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  20. It's an NSL tunnel camp with a big West coast group-- Adrenaline, GT, and a bunch of newer skydivers from Elsinore. We're planning on doing 5 hours total as a team-- including 2-way, 3-way and 4-way. 22's are definitely something I will be working on in there. I plan on LOVING 6's by the time we head home too. I will gladly take any suggestions for more point tunnel drills-- even just in general. Thanks! As for the April 5th meet-- you should DEFinitely come down-- bring some of your new Washington/Oregon peeps too. I KNOW there are some more 4-way junkies up there. Adrenaline is planning on competing in the meet at this point, but we may end up splitting up and doing a few newbie teams. We should get Joe MFO in on this convo-- did you know that he has a low-commitment team put together himself? He's jumping with 3 chicks! Not sure what their plans are yet though... __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  21. Get this-- I'll be there. Unbelieveable, I know. __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  22. Next weekend I'm in the TUNNEL. TMFG. Let's chat when I get back and we'll make some SoCal 4-way happen-- the weekend of April 5th is the SSL at Elsinore-- we're competing in that meet as a team, but maybe you could get some pick-up action going. Joe MFO might be up for a reunion....
  23. Jetstream is life. __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  24. 4-way? Did someone say 4-way? Did someone say 4-way with a hot ravenous jetstream dude?! Don't tease me. __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
  25. PhreeZone-- feel free to email Kurt Gaebel ([email protected]) about this issue, he is the NSL President, and runs www.skyleague.com. He obviously knows all the ins and outs of the NSL rules, so you can get into more detail with him. I actaully went to him last year with a problem-- he did all he could, and the problem was resolved in a coulple of weeks-- Kurt rocks. Post what you find out if you can-- I'm interested to hear the outcome of this. Thanks, Mel __________________________________________________________ http://www.skydiveelsinore.com/teams/EXCEL/basic_camp.html
