If you want to get going with sling-making and slinging, I recommend that you start here. This is the pattern for the sling I made, and it's a really great build-along. Just make sure you keep your turns nice and tight and even. You'll have to make adjustments to the number of them in the split part of the sling in order to accommodate a golf ball. On that part, I have ten turns, and that works perfectly (assuming you'll be using paracord of the same diameter I am). I'd like to get enough Spectra line to make one of these. One need only look at the history of Europe to see that it has NEVER been a peaceful place. Always giving rise to psychotic despots, and social and military unrest. I don't think one has to have "traveled extensively" to see what Europe has been about for centuries. That's not to say that some people don't enjoy pleasant lives in Europe -- or Asia or North America or South America, for that matter. But the political reality is that the place has historically torn itself the fuck apart over and over and over again.
