Will, you cheeky sod you. 'Mr Ground Rush' drove my car into the hedge, I drove it into the pavement. Its all better now. Yer, there have been some amusing nights, apparently I was there. But, I have redeamed myself. And, there were only 2 nights like that. 3 weeks I have not jumped. Think its about time I hassel my kit suplier again. (Blooming PDF) ADVICE: Make sure if you base jump that is is higher that 2 meters! Have fun

I was paying packers until after my 70th something jump. Reason being, I just had not gotten around to learning. An at first I was not confident enought to try packing. I am much happier packing my own, you get to learn more about the equipment. You have more money in you pocket! Majority of packers I have used have been good, but I have had a few funky wee openings. Therefor I'd prefer to have myself to blame when the canopy opens off heading (ahg)! As for the new kit thing. I sympathise. I've seen lots of people do Cat8, Cat 10 and get new kit, back to back. And I've seen some people double my jump numbers in half the time (wonga $£). Its 14 months since I started skydiving and I still dont have my own kit........... Should not be long now tho :) I think its hard for the majority of us for the first year or so.

Put it this way. They keep your ankles warm in the plane! No seriously, I was crap at tracking until I got booties. They really helped.

Being in the UK, its starting to get V chilly up there. The problem with warm gloves is that they are too thick (the ones I have seen anyway). So, my fingers tend to go blue. I'll wear a fleece under my jumpsuit - allow about 20 mins to get the zip done up. Oh and feel like a Moomin afterwards. V V V V thick winter sox. Dont forget the full faced helmet! Oh and sit next to someone on the plane who you can cuddle - just a thought. ;) Or jump a heated Caravan!

The dumbest thing that I've have ever done, was fairly recently. I drove my car down the runnway at aprox 90 mph with a mate lying on the roof. Then screetched to a halt. The vodka and redbull prevented us from seing the immediate danger. But, I soon realised when I had a go (and I had one leg through the sunroof). Cor, were we lucky or what! 30mins later I fell of a piknic table and cut my eyebrow open and spent the night in A&E. Sods law eh!
